Investment thesis
Hatch Blue supports sustainable growth and innovation in the aquaculture and blue economy sector through three business areas: fund management, consulting, and venture programs. It launched the world's first aquaculture accelerator in 2018 and has since run numerous accelerators and innovation studios globally. Recognizing the need for capital beyond accelerators, it raised the €92M Blue Revolution Fund in 2022-2023, with The Nature Conservancy as impact partner. The firm targets seed and Series A investments in sustainable aquaculture and blue food ventures, operating three funds totaling over ₂100M EUR AUM and backing more than 80 portfolio companies worldwide.
