Arnd Kaltofen has extensive experience building and exiting healthcare ventures, having served as chairman or board director of companies including Esbatech, Kuros Biosurgery, Activaero and Ganymed Pharmaceuticals. Previously he led healthcare venture capital transactions at KPMG Corporate Finance and worked in medical device and digital health startups; he is a trained MD with an MBA and a postgraduate degree in computer science.

Investor and entrepreneur with 20 years of experience. Before VI Partners he spent 15 years in London in M&A and founded an alternative asset manager focused on environmental assets, advising corporations, sovereign wealth funds and private equity firms, and later held C-level roles at Swiss financial institutions. Holds an MBA from IMD and is a CFA charterholder.

Operating Partner at VI Partners focused on technology investments. Previously a senior security and privacy engineering lead at Google (2010-2018), and before that VP of web application security at Phion (acquired by Barracuda Networks in 2009); he co-founded and led Visonys as CTO/CEO. He holds a master's in computer science from ETH Zurich and has been an early private investor in the cryptocurrency and blockchain ecosystem since 2013.

Diego Braguglia has over two decades of venture capital experience creating, growing, and exiting companies in therapeutics and medical devices. He has served as chairman, non-executive director, or board observer at several companies including Endoart, Endosense, Picodrill, Neocutis, Amal, Sequana, and Genkyotex, and previously managed medical device and pharmaceutical companies. He holds an M.Sc. in Microbiology from the University of Basel and a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from ISREC in Lausanne.

Julien Pache has over 15 years of experience as a VC investor and operator. He spent nearly a decade at Verve Ventures leading the investment team and backing 25+ early-stage SaaS and deep tech companies, served as CCO of Bring! Labs, and holds master's degrees in Law (University of Fribourg) and Philosophy of Science (University of Bern).

Olivier Laplace has around 18 years of experience as a tech entrepreneur, software developer, investment banker, and VC investor. Before VI Partners he was Investment Director at Swiss Post, launching its corporate VC activity, and previously worked at Kudelski, JPMorgan, and Citigroup; he holds an MBA from IMD.

Daniel Gutenberg joined VI Partners in July 2003 with a focus on IT and now serves as a Venture Partner. He founded Gutenberg Communication Systems AG in 1991, served as its CEO, and sold it to the Telindus Group in 2000, after which he became an active business angel investing globally in unicorns. He holds several board seats in public and private companies.

Bruno brings a background in strategy consulting, technical innovation, and business management. He holds a Master's in Robotics with a minor in Management Technology and Entrepreneurship from EPFL, previously interned at Deloitte in technology strategy, founded a mobile tech startup in Lausanne, and completed his MSc thesis at Harvard's Microrobotics Lab.

Maria has a multidisciplinary background in digital health, medtech, and biotech, holding a PhD in bioinformatics and oncology from the Netherlands Cancer Institute and Leiden University. Before Vi Partners she advised healthcare stakeholders at IQVIA on precision medicine and digital health strategy and previously worked in healthtech.

Martina Gromo is an Investment Associate at VI Partners with a background in strategy consulting, fintech, and digital innovation. She holds a double master's in International Management from Bocconi and Banking and Finance from the University of St. Gallen, and previously worked at Sygnum Bank, Bain & Company, and N26.

A SaaS veteran and former C-level executive at Nexthink, where he helped establish the Digital Employee Experience (DEX) management category. He supports portfolio companies with go-to-market expertise and category creation.
