He was previously Managing Partner of KPCB China and Vivo Ventures, and president of Anesiva, with prior senior roles at Tularik, GlaxoSmithKline, Bristol-Myers Squibb and ALZA.

James Huang spent 20+ years as a big-pharma and biotech operator, coaches companies on execution and scaling, specializes in U.S.–China cross-border biotech, and often serves as executive chairman or CEO.
