Investment thesis
Diamond Edge Ventures (DEV) is the venture capital entity of Mitsubishi Chemical Group, backing technology startups with the potential to transform MCG's core markets and future businesses. It offers portfolio companies pathways to co-development and commercialization with Mitsubishi Chemical Group business units, supported by a dedicated commercialization team. Focus areas span electric vehicles and mobility, advanced and lightweight materials, polymers/films/coatings, electronics/sensors/display/semiconductors, health and medical devices, food ingredients and packaging, green materials/recycling/renewable energy, and advanced manufacturing. The firm plans to deploy $200M through 2030 and operates globally with team members across the US, Japan, and Europe.
