Dr. Yanling Wen joined BOCG in January 2023 as a venture partner and Clinic Chief in medical device, where she advises the firm's investment strategy on imaging medicine and clinical needs. She has nearly 30 years of experience in clinical research, scientific research, and education, and is a professor and Chief Physician in the Department of Ultrasound at the Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. Her clinical focus includes ultrasound and interventional ultrasound diagnosis and treatment, including contrast-enhanced ultrasound, elastography, and interventional treatment of liver and breast tumors. She holds a doctoral degree in Imaging and Nuclear Medicine from Sun Yat-sen University.
Dr. Yongqin Zeng joined BOCG as a Venture Partner in June 2022. She previously spent more than 20 years at Philips, including a decade in HealthTech and a senior innovation director role from 2006, working across medical imaging equipment, healthcare big data and medical AI, and chronic disease, and leading Philips Venture China to engage with over 20 HealthTech startups. She holds a Ph.D. in Electronics Engineering from Imperial College London and completed executive education programs at MIT Sloan and a joint program from CEIBS, Tsinghua University, and Harvard University.
Vincent CH Chan has been a venture partner at BOCG since January 2023, where he handles corporate strategy and business development and serves on the investment committee. He has more than 30 years of Asian private equity experience with over 80 investments in technology and growth companies across China, Taiwan, Korea and Southeast Asia. He is an Associate Professor at the College of Medicine, Imam Mohammad ibn Saud Islamic University in Riyadh, and Chairman of the Board of Directors at CAD Middle East Pharmaceutical Industries LLC, with involvement in Saudi healthcare policy. His research covers medicine, clinical and basic pharmacology, pharmacy practice, and cardiology, and he holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacy Practice from the University of Bradford and a PharmD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Dr. Duanqing Pei joined BOCG's advisory board as Chief Scientific Advisor for Cell & Regenerative Medicine in April 2020. He is Chair Professor of Regenerative Biology at the School of Life Sciences, Westlake University, having earned his PhD from the University of Pennsylvania in 1991 and completed postdoctoral training at the University of Michigan. His prior academic roles include faculty positions at the University of Minnesota School of Medicine, Tsinghua University, and the Guangzhou Institutes of Biomedicine and Health, along with involvement in founding several research organizations.
Dr. Haibo Qian joined BOCG's advisory board in May 2024. He holds a Ph.D. in Management and Social Pharmacy from China Pharmaceutical University and serves as a Senior Economist, Research Fellow, and adjunct professor at Nanjing Medical University. Dr. Hua Jiang joined BOCG's advisory board in March 2023. She is the chairlady and chief executive officer of Boan Biotech (06955.HK) and has more than 24 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in China. She previously spent over two decades at the Luye Group, ultimately serving as vice president responsible for investment, strategy, business development, and investor relations. Dr. Jixi Li joined BOCG as Senior Advisor in July 2022, bringing over 20 years of life sciences research experience to inform the firm's view of biotech development and innovation. He is a full professor at the School of Life Sciences at Fudan University and an adjunct professor at Huashan Hospital in Shanghai, holding a bachelor's degree from Zhejiang University (2000) and a Ph.D. from Fudan University (2006), with postdoctoral work at Caltech, Cornell, and Harvard Medical School. His lab studies inflammatory cell death and immune responses, including work on the RIP1/RIP3 necrosome and regulators of pyroptosis and necroptosis.

Dr. Xun Zhu serves as Chief Scientist at BOCG, where he has advised the firm's biotech investments and provided scientific advisory since 2021. He has more than 30 years of experience in academia and the pharmaceutical industry, including serving as vice principal of Norman Bethune University of Medical Science from 1995 to 2000, and has held advisory roles on several Chinese government committees related to new drugs, life sciences, and biotechnology. He earned his doctoral degree in medicine from Norman Bethune Medical University in 1989.
