Jessica Chen has more than 10 years of experience in investment, business development, and strategy roles at multinational healthcare companies, and has invested 200 million RMB in growth- and clinical-stage biotech firms. She joined BOCG in 2017, and previously worked as an investment and strategy manager at Sanofi, handling business development, licensing, alliances, and M&A projects. She holds a Master's in Business and Economics from Loughborough University and a Bachelor's in Materials Engineering from Beijing University of Chemical Technology.

Dr. Daniel Tang joined the advisory board of BOCG in May 2024. He previously served as CEO of Shanghai NK CellTech and was founding CEO of Thororna Inc, a biotech company working on circular RNA technology, where he led three funding rounds raising over 430 million RMB. Earlier roles include COO of Phanes Therapeutics, CEO of UPP, GM for ICON Clinical Research in APAC, SVP at Frontage, VP at ChemPartner, and senior principal scientist positions at Pfizer and DuPont. He holds a BS in Biochemistry from Peking University, a PhD from George Washington University, and an MBA from the University of Michigan.

Dr. Yanling Wen joined BOCG in January 2023 as a venture partner and Clinic Chief in medical device, where she advises the firm's investment strategy on imaging medicine and clinical needs. She has nearly 30 years of experience in clinical research, scientific research, and education, and is a professor and Chief Physician in the Department of Ultrasound at the Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. Her clinical focus includes ultrasound and interventional ultrasound diagnosis and treatment, including contrast-enhanced ultrasound, elastography, and interventional treatment of liver and breast tumors. She holds a doctoral degree in Imaging and Nuclear Medicine from Sun Yat-sen University.

Dr. Yongqin Zeng joined BOCG as a Venture Partner in June 2022. She previously spent more than 20 years at Philips, including a decade in HealthTech and a senior innovation director role from 2006, working across medical imaging equipment, healthcare big data and medical AI, and chronic disease, and leading Philips Venture China to engage with over 20 HealthTech startups. She holds a Ph.D. in Electronics Engineering from Imperial College London and completed executive education programs at MIT Sloan and a joint program from CEIBS, Tsinghua University, and Harvard University.

Vincent CH Chan has been a venture partner at BOCG since January 2023, where he handles corporate strategy and business development and serves on the investment committee. He has more than 30 years of Asian private equity experience with over 80 investments in technology and growth companies across China, Taiwan, Korea and Southeast Asia. He is Co-President of the Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association and holds several regulatory and university committee roles in Hong Kong.

Dr. Waleed Mohammed Al Shaqha joined the Advisory Board of BOCG in May 2025 and has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare across academia and industry. He is an Associate Professor at the College of Medicine, Imam Mohammad ibn Saud Islamic University in Riyadh, and Chairman of the Board of Directors at CAD Middle East Pharmaceutical Industries LLC, with involvement in Saudi healthcare policy. His research covers medicine, clinical and basic pharmacology, pharmacy practice, and cardiology, and he holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacy Practice from the University of Bradford and a PharmD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Dr. Duanqing Pei joined BOCG's advisory board as Chief Scientific Advisor for Cell & Regenerative Medicine in April 2020. He is Chair Professor of Regenerative Biology at the School of Life Sciences, Westlake University, having earned his PhD from the University of Pennsylvania in 1991 and completed postdoctoral training at the University of Michigan. His prior academic roles include faculty positions at the University of Minnesota School of Medicine, Tsinghua University, and the Guangzhou Institutes of Biomedicine and Health, along with involvement in founding several research organizations.

Dr. Haibo Qian joined BOCG's advisory board in May 2024. He holds a Ph.D. in Management and Social Pharmacy from China Pharmaceutical University and serves as a Senior Economist, Research Fellow, and adjunct professor at Nanjing Medical University. From 1994 to May 2023 he held leadership roles at Sinopharm Pharmaceuticals Group, including Vice President and Corporate Secretary of its U.S.-listed company, working across investments, sales, human resources, public affairs, and mergers and acquisitions.

Dr. Hua Jiang joined BOCG's advisory board in March 2023. She is the chairlady and chief executive officer of Boan Biotech (06955.HK) and has more than 24 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in China. She previously spent over two decades at the Luye Group, ultimately serving as vice president responsible for investment, strategy, business development, and investor relations. She holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Fudan University, an MBA from KEDGE Business School in France, and a doctorate in business administration from United Business Institutes in Belgium.

Jean Paul Thiery joined BOCG as Senior Advisor in April 2020, bringing extensive experience in life sciences research. He is a Senior Research Fellow and Professor at the National Laboratory in Guangzhou, Research Director Emeritus at the Institut Gustave Roussy Comprehensive Cancer Center in Villejuif and at the CNRS Matter and Complex Systems unit in Paris, and a Visiting Professor at CCBIO University of Bergen. His research addresses cell adhesion and migration, Epithelial-Mesenchymal Transitions, and mechanisms of carcinoma invasion and metastasis.

Dr. Jixi Li joined BOCG as Senior Advisor in July 2022, bringing over 20 years of life sciences research experience to inform the firm's view of biotech development and innovation. He is a full professor at the School of Life Sciences at Fudan University and an adjunct professor at Huashan Hospital in Shanghai, holding a bachelor's degree from Zhejiang University (2000) and a Ph.D. from Fudan University (2006), with postdoctoral work at Caltech, Cornell, and Harvard Medical School. His lab studies inflammatory cell death and immune responses, including work on the RIP1/RIP3 necrosome and regulators of pyroptosis and necroptosis.

Dr. Min Zhuo joined the advisory board of BOCG in March 2023. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, a tenured professor of physiology and Canada Research Chair Tier I at the University of Toronto, and holds academic appointments at Fudan University and Xi'an Jiaotong University. He serves as Chief Scientific Officer of Eternal Pharma and holds a Ph.D. from the University of Iowa, with postdoctoral research at Columbia and Stanford.

Dr. Xinye Xiao joined BOCG's advisory board in May 2024, bringing over a decade of experience spanning medical research, clinical practice, entrepreneurship, and venture capital. He previously worked as an ophthalmologist at a tertiary hospital and holds bachelor's and master's degrees in Clinical Medicine from Zhejiang University and a Ph.D. in Physiology from Xiamen University. He is a licensed ophthalmologist and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and has published internationally as a first author.

Dr. Xun Zhu serves as Chief Scientist at BOCG, where he has advised the firm's biotech investments and provided scientific advisory since 2021. He has more than 30 years of experience in academia and the pharmaceutical industry, including serving as vice principal of Norman Bethune University of Medical Science from 1995 to 2000, and has held advisory roles on several Chinese government committees related to new drugs, life sciences, and biotechnology. He earned his doctoral degree in medicine from Norman Bethune Medical University in 1989.

Qian Sun has more than 10 years of experience in accounting and risk control, with a focus on taxation assessment, cross-border taxation, transfer pricing, and helping companies set up overseas structures. Before joining BOCG she worked at Zhongrui Yuehua Tax Advisory Firm and Ping An Trust. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Financial Management from Jilin University of Finance and Economics.

Qiusi Yuan has close to six years of experience in post-investment management of private equity funds, spanning fundraising, investment, management, and exit. Before joining BOCG, she worked in a fund operation role at Qing Song Fund. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Management from Shenzhen University.

Rachel Wu joined BOCG in March 2023 as operation partner and chief human resources consultant, supporting the firm and its portfolio companies with talent planning and team building. She has over 20 years of experience in talent consulting, human resources planning, and finance, with a focus on innovative biopharmaceutical and medical device companies. She is a partner at Tidalwave Solutions leading top talent consulting in mainland China and previously served as China GM for a UK-listed HR consulting firm in Beijing. She holds a Master's in Applied Finance and Financial Planning from Monash University and is a Certified Financial Planner.

Rosine Luo has close to a decade of experience in investment, with a focus on financial analysis, due diligence, and deal execution. She joined BOCG in 2016 and previously worked as an analyst at Youjoy Capital and Bank of China. She holds a bachelor's degree in Finance from Duquesne University in the USA.

Sunny Ma is the CEO Executive Assistant at BOCG, which she joined in 2018, handling administration and government relations. She has 13 years of experience across the hotel, sports, and finance sectors, with a focus on customer service and government relations.

Vicky Ng is senior director at BOCG, where she has been responsible for operations and risk management since 2017, drawing on more than 23 years of experience in audit, financial management and investment. Before joining BOCG, she worked at organizations including Yangtze Ventures and Deloitte, gaining experience in early- and late-stage investments, post-investment management, and auditing. She holds an MBA from the University of Iowa and an honors degree in Accountancy from Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and is a fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
