Investment thesis

IndieBio operated as SOSV's accelerator program providing pre-seed investment and on-site bio-lab facilities to scientists launching startups. Over a decade it backed 310 graduate companies that raised $3.6 billion, building a reputation across health and climate sectors including food, agriculture, industrial decarbonization, AI, therapeutics, and diagnostics. Its remit expanded beyond biology into all of deep tech, spanning chemistry, physics and AI, prompting a 2026 rebrand into SOSV NY and SOSV SF with the same teams, locations and facilities.
