Investment thesis
DTCF invests in visionary, technology-driven companies with long development cycles and deep tech roots, aiming to build Europe's future technology champions. It provides up to €50M per company, with an initial sweet spot of €5M-€10M invested alongside European co-investors, typically taking a minority position of under 25% voting rights. The fund focuses on four areas: industry and automation (robotics, space, process automation, sensors), advanced computing and security (AI, big data, quantum, cybersecurity), sustainable tech and climate solutions (new energy, smart grids, eMobility, storage, agtech, food), and life sciences and healthtech (digital health, medtech, diagnostics, biotech). It emphasizes Germany but invests globally in Germany-affiliated companies, offering long-term support over a fund lifetime of at least 25 years.
