Investment thesis
PINC invests across the agrifood value chain, seeking strategic, financial, and societal impact toward a sustainable food system. It focuses on three themes: improving planetary health and diet within the current food system (crop breeding, green fertilizers, novel ingredients, healthy foods, climate and nature tracking); novel technologies to feed 10 billion people by 2050 (precision fermentation, cell cultivation); and a circular system for food and materials (upcycled ingredients, packaging, side-stream solutions). As an evergreen fund tied to Paulig, a 150-year-old family business, it has no fixed exit horizon and can act as co-investor, co-lead, or lead. It prefers a strategic link to Paulig and offers access to networks, consumer insights, and distribution.
