Greg Phillips co-founded Broadhaven after 15 years working across financial services and technology as an advisor, operator, and investor. He previously worked in mergers and acquisitions at UBS Investment Bank and Wasserstein Perella & Co., advising asset managers, exchanges, brokers, and trading technology companies, and later held roles at R.J. O'Brien & Associates, Citadel Investment Group, and MII. He holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Chicago.

Michael Sidgmore is a Partner and Co-Founder of Broadhaven Ventures, an early-stage investor in financial technology companies and venture funds that also incubates asset management businesses. He founded the private markets podcast and content platform Alt Goes Mainstream and previously worked at iCapital, Mosaic, and Goldman Sachs. He also serves as a Venture Partner at Goodwater Capital and holds a BSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics.

Åsa Wallin is a fund manager focused on Swedish life‑science startups, with Silicon Valley experience fostering Swedish‑American collaborations and a reputation for publicly educating founders on investor expectations.

Berenice Lopez started at King River Capital as an analyst before moving into an office coordinator role. She previously worked as a customer service and operations analyst in ocean freight at Yusen Logistics Mexico, gaining experience in supply chain management and logistics. Originally from Mexico, she holds a bachelor's degree in international business and commerce and has pursued additional diplomas in France and Australia.

Heliya Sohrabi joined SignalFire in spring 2021 to handle accounting and financial operations. She previously worked as a Senior Audit Associate at KPMG's San Francisco office, specializing in financial reporting for venture capital funds, and participated in KPMG's leadership program before working with Bay Area registered investment advisors. She is a licensed CPA in California and holds a B.A. in Economics and Accounting from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Christopher Spofford is a Partner at Broadhaven Capital Partners who advises on strategic transactions in the global asset management industry. Before Broadhaven, he spent 17 years at Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he was a Managing Director leading coverage of the asset management sector in the Investment Banking Division, and earlier worked at Putnam Lovell in a similar banking role. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Amherst College.

Conor Nelson has worked as an investment banker and operator in financial services for roughly 15 years. Before Broadhaven, he was part of the Financial Institutions Group at UBS, focusing on M&A and capital raise transactions for depository and specialty finance institutions, and earlier held commercial banking roles at Citizens Financial Group, largely within its Special Assets Division. He holds B.A. degrees in Philosophy and Russian Area Studies from Penn State University and is a CFA charterholder.

Esther Tian is President and Partner at Broadhaven Capital Partners, focused on financial services businesses, and has advised on over $50 billion in M&A and capital raising transactions. She previously worked as an investment professional at Davidson Kempner Capital Management and SAC Capital, covering banking, insurance, financial technology, and asset management, and earlier held roles in Goldman Sachs's Principal Investment Area and Financial Institutions Group. She holds an A.B. in Economics from Harvard University.

Faye Sun is a Principal at Broadhaven, which she joined in 2017, working on M&A and capital raising transactions for financial services clients. She previously worked in the Financial Institutions Group at UBS Investment Bank on M&A and capital markets deals. She holds a B.S. in Finance from Boston College.

Greg DePetris is a co-founder, investor, and director working with early-stage companies that apply financial market structure and technology to new industries and products. He serves in operational and governance roles across firm investments, most recently as lead director of MoneyLion (NYSE:ML). Before Broadhaven, he was Director of Corporate Strategy at Apex Fintech Solutions, joining after its acquisition of PDQ, an auction-based alternative trading system he co-founded; he also co-founded Vertical Acres, Binary Event Network, Quadriserv, and Intrade, and began his career as a commodities floor broker and proprietary trader.

James T. Denton is a Partner at Broadhaven Capital Partners with about 30 years of experience as an investment banker to financial services companies. He previously served as Co-Head of the Financial Institutions Group at Rothschild, was a founding member of J.P. Morgan's Financial Institutions Group where he led its Bank and Specialty Finance M&A and Asset Management coverage teams, and earlier worked as an equity analyst covering banks at Keefe, Bruyette & Woods. He holds a B.A. in Economics and Languages from Rutgers College and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.

John Edge has worked for over two decades in financial markets innovation, focusing currently on Web 3.0-enabled markets and confidential compute in data asset finance. He previously co-founded Red Kite Financial Markets, a regulatory compliance data analytics company acquired by NICE Systems, and led electronic trading innovation at J.P. Morgan, Lehman Brothers, and UBS. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Leeds and holds academic appointments at MIT and Oxford University.

John H. Simpson is a Partner at Broadhaven Capital Partners with over 30 years of experience in investment banking and financial services. He previously served as Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer of Canyon Partners and as Vice Chairman of Wasserstein Perella & Co., where he worked on mergers and acquisitions. Earlier in his career he practiced law at Cravath, Swaine & Moore, clerked for a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and holds degrees from Williams College and Harvard Law School.

Joseph J. Zabik is a Partner at Broadhaven Capital Partners with a career focused on the financial services sector as an investment banker and corporate executive. He previously served as Head of Corporate Development and Head of Investment Banking at Sterne Agee, was a Managing Director in the Financial Institutions Group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and held senior roles at TD Ameritrade's Corporate Development Group and Salomon Smith Barney's Investment Banking Division. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Kent State University.

Kirk Wilson is a Partner at Broadhaven Capital Partners with a 30-year career as an investment banker advising financial services companies, having worked on more than $200 billion in financing and M&A transactions. Before Broadhaven, he advised financial services clients at Greenhill and previously served as Vice Chairman of Morgan Stanley's Investment Banking Division, where he was part of the Financial Institutions Group and led the Global Commercial and US Bank Groups. Kyle Murray is a Managing Director at Broadhaven, which he joined in 2010 as one of its early employees. He has advised on more than $40 billion in announced M&A and capital raising transactions, including deals in financial technology and asset management. Before Broadhaven, he was a Financial Analyst at Fidelity Investments, and he holds a B.S. in Finance and Leadership from the Boston College Honors Program.

Meghan Lockwood has worked as an operator in the financial technology industry for over 15 years. Before joining Broadhaven, she served as COO/CFO of Pivit, a platform bringing financial market technology to interactive media and gaming, and previously held COO/CFO roles at Mantara, a trading and risk infrastructure provider. She was also the first operations hire at TradingScreen, where she was COO and Partner as the company grew to more than 200 employees across 7 countries, and earlier worked in the Fixed Income division of Credit Suisse. She holds a B.S. from LeMoyne College.

Michael Deleray is a Partner at Broadhaven Capital Partners with roughly two decades of experience as an executive, consultant, and investor in financial services. He co-founded Bendigo Partners, a private investment and consulting firm focused on technology-driven financial services, and previously served as President of U.S. Equity Services at Computershare and as CEO and Executive Director of E*TRADE Australia. Earlier in his career he worked at Dean Witter Reynolds, Fidelity Investments, and E*TRADE Financial, and he holds a B.A. in History from the University of California, Berkeley.

Morgan and Barclays, advising on M&A, equity raises and debt financings. He holds a J.D. from Yale Law School, an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan and a B.S. in Finance from Arizona State University.

Ryan Fernandes is a Managing Director at Broadhaven Capital Partners with over a decade of experience as an investment banker covering the financial technology and payments industries. He previously served as a Managing Director at Thunder Bridge Capital and spent ten years at Morgan Stanley's Investment Banking Division, where he led the firm's global coverage of the payments industry and advised clients across payments, processing, data, and analytics. He holds a Bachelor of Business Science in Finance from the University of Cape Town and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and is a Chartered Accountant and CFA charterholder.
