Investment thesis
Red & Blue Ventures backs seed and early-stage companies emerging from the University of Pennsylvania community, typically founded or managed by Penn students, faculty, or alumni, or built on IP originating at Penn. The fund primarily invests in information technology broadly defined to include hardware, software, ecommerce, and technology-enabled services serving both businesses and consumers. It will consider opportunities in other areas when a company has a strong connection to Penn and a syndicate of co-investors with deep domain expertise. The firm is managed by Penn alumni but is wholly independent of and not affiliated with the University of Pennsylvania.
