Armory Square Ventures

Somak Chattopadhyay founded Armory Square Ventures (ASV) in 2014 and has invested in and operated early-stage startups in New York State and other emerging regions since 1999. He was previously a partner at Tribeca Venture Partners (formerly Greenhill SAVP) and a venture capitalist at Edison Ventures, and held marketing/business development roles at Medtower and DealTime (acquired by eBay). He serves on the board of the Upstate Capital Association of New York.

Neenah Jain is Partner and CFO at Armory Square Ventures, with about two decades of experience in finance, analysis, and accounting across high-growth software startups and private equity firms; she monitors existing investments and manages the ASV portfolio. She previously worked at Radius Ventures, IPcelerate, and Capital Analytics, and began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1998.

Anthony Santaro is a member of Armory Square Ventures' investment team, responsible for sourcing deals, evaluating opportunities, and supporting portfolio companies. He previously worked as an analyst at Wells Fargo's investment bank in New York City, serves on the board of the Young Citizens Committee for New York City, and holds a degree from Johns Hopkins University.

Michael Kopelman is a Venture Partner at Armory Square Ventures with over 25 years of experience in venture investing, corporate finance, and entrepreneurship across software, eCommerce, and financial services. Previously, he spent nearly 20 years as General Partner at Edison Partners, where he participated in the investment committee, led financings, and served as director for multiple companies; during his tenure, Edison deployed over $1.2B across 90 investments, with notable exits including Bento for Business, FolioDynamix, and TrueCommerce. Kopelman's career began in investment banking at Credit Suisse First Boston, followed by roles launching online investment banking products at E*OFFERING and leading eCommerce investment banking at SoundView Technology Group.

Aman Devgan is President & General Manager at Menufy, a digital ordering and marketing platform within HungerRush, where he holds full P&L responsibility. He has served in three General Manager roles and five C-suite positions across SaaS and platform businesses ranging from $20M to $350M in ARR, and achieved two successful exits through the acquisitions of TCGplayer by eBay and Upserve by Lightspeed. His experience spans product strategy, go-to-market architecture, and operations across restaurant technology, commerce infrastructure, and marketplace categories.

Anita Mwashi is an Executive Assistant at Armory Square Ventures with over three years of experience as a virtual assistant across industries including real estate, education, marketing, and health. She manages tasks including data entry, research, calendar and inbox management, bookkeeping, travel coordination, and customer service. Mwashi is proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, WordPress, Mailchimp, and Zoom.

Ayham Boucher is a contractor with Geneva Global's Donor Advising Team who works across institutional strategy, advisory services, and creative programming. His experience includes building and scaling organizations, supporting leaders through transitions, and designing narrative-focused programs; he has worked with social enterprises, cultural institutions, venture capital firms, and cross-sector partnerships. Boucher holds a BA from Harvard and an MJ from UC Berkeley, is based in Oakland, and teaches graduate courses in the arts sector.

Jackson Feder is a Vice President at MetaProp, which invests in technology companies across the built world at various stages and geographies. He also operates a tech poker community in New York City with over 300 members.

John Cococcia is CFO at Ethermed and brings 20 years of experience working with early and growth stage companies in investor, board member, and advisory capacities. His background includes involvement in strategy development, executive recruiting, venture and growth financings, restructurings, and exits, with participation on board committees overseeing compensation, audit, recruitment, and M&A matters. He has completed over 40 M&A and financing transactions and teaches as an adjunct professor at Siena College while guest lecturing on venture capital, entrepreneurship, and leadership at other universities.

Kyle Ciminelli is President of Ciminelli Real Estate Corporation, overseeing the company's brokerage, investments, development, and acquisitions operations. Following a 16-year career at Newmark in New York City, where he served as Executive Managing Director providing real estate advisory services to institutional clients in the technology, media, legal, and education sectors, he relocated to Buffalo to join the family business. In 2020, he formalized an alliance between Ciminelli Real Estate Corporation and Newmark, establishing Newmark Ciminelli as the brokerage brand for the Western New York market.

Laura Kinder is President and Partner at Daversa Partners, a executive search firm. She became the firm's youngest female partner at age 28 and has completed over 1,000 executive searches across consumer and B2B companies during her nearly two-decade career. Her search practice has served investors including Andreessen Horowitz, NEA, and Spark Capital, and she has placed executives at companies including OpenAI, MongoDB, Plaid, and DraftKings.

Oversees the full lifecycle of investments from sourcing and selection through exit, and supports portfolio companies alongside community partners.

Nomi Bergman is a technology executive who serves as President of the Advance/Newhouse Investment Partnership, focusing on corporate development and strategic partnerships. Previously, she was President of Bright House Networks, which she helped found and develop into the sixth-largest U.S. cable operator with over $4 billion in annual revenue and 2.5 million customers. She currently serves on the boards of Hawkeye360, Visteon, and Black & Veatch, and was previously a board member at Comcast and inductee to the Broadcasting + Cable Hall of Fame in 2022.

P. Tate Olinghouse serves as an Advisory Board Member at Armory Square Ventures and brings two decades of executive experience in revenue growth and organizational transformation. At Acxiom, an IPG company, he led the North American business, overseeing new customer acquisition, contract renewals, and go-to-market strategy alignment across sales, marketing, and product functions. His background spans financial services, retail, technology, telecommunications, and healthcare, with expertise in revenue operations, P&L management, leadership development, and digital transformation.

Writer and editor who manages communications at Armory Square Ventures. Previously led business development at ML startup Impira (acquired by Figma in 2022); holds a B.A. from Pomona College and an M.F.A. in Nonfiction Writing from Columbia University.

Pritam Advani is a senior executive and entrepreneur with experience building and exiting multiple companies. He currently serves as Director at Global Tax Management and has expertise in mergers and acquisitions, start-ups, strategic planning, and financial and operations management.

Regan Hofmann is a marketing consultant and copywriter with experience across D2C consumer brands, legacy media, nonprofits, and financial services. She specializes in brand voice development and editorial strategy, drawing on her background in consumer behavior and storytelling.

Rob Lentz is an LP and advisory board member at Armory Square Ventures with over 30 years of experience in software and systems development, including 15+ years in technology leadership roles. He has managed large multi-country technology organizations in general manager positions and brings consulting, sales, and product development expertise along with multi-country operational experience.

Ronak Parikh is Senior Director of Yield, Product Analytics, and Experimentation at Best Buy Ads, where he leads data-driven product development in digital marketing and programmatic advertising. His experience includes building monetized data products, developing new offerings, and managing cross-functional execution across product strategy, vendor partnerships, and sales enablement. Parikh has worked on opportunity analysis, strategic roadmap planning, and customer-driven innovation in the AdTech and MarTech sectors.

Steve Hovagimyan is Head of Finance at Quartermaster AI and a CFO with experience across venture- and PE-backed SaaS, fintech, and marketplace companies in the $5M–$50M revenue range. His work spans audit and exit preparation, fundraising support, financial systems implementation, and strategic finance partnership. He has scaled finance operations across multiple startups, led two exits, and managed relationships with over 40 institutional investors.

Vikas Mehta is Chief Operating Officer at ACV Auctions. He has 15 years of experience in strategy, operations, and general management across internet marketplaces, e-commerce, and classifieds platforms globally.
