Investment thesis
pi Ventures backs early-stage deep-tech and AI companies leveraging cutting-edge scientific and engineering innovation to build defensible IP and solve complex problems. It invests across sectors including artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, energy, life sciences, quantum computing, advanced materials and sustainability. The firm primarily invests at Seed and Series A stages, open to backing startups with no revenue but a strong technological foundation and clear path to scalability. Beyond capital, it takes a 'fill-in-the-blank' approach, supporting portfolio companies with customer discovery, investor connections and leadership hiring. Its primary focus is Indian startups, though it will consider international companies with a strong 'Deep India Connect'.
