gradCapital backs young founders at the earliest possible stage, giving them small amounts of capital to turn ideas into reality and grow their ambition. The firm believes breakthroughs come from small groups of highly motivated people exploring the depths of a field and uncovering problems that larger institutions overlook, as increasingly happens outside academia. It sees opportunity for further breakthroughs across robotics, physics, biology, and computer science, and provides funding for young people to experiment through structured programs including full-time company grants, science and engineering project grants, and small experimentation grants.
