Sam Evans founded Eos Venture Partners. Before that, he was a partner at KPMG, where he led the Global Deal Advisory business for insurance and worked on more than $75bn of insurance-related transactions. He has worked across mature and high-growth insurance markets internationally, having lived in Australia, Hong Kong, Switzerland and the UK.

Zach Powell is a General Partner at Eos Venture Partners, having spent most of his career as a principal investor in financial services with a focus on insurance. He previously founded and served as Managing Director of AXIS Digital Ventures, the partnership and venture arm of AXIS Capital, and before that was a Vice President in Swiss Re's Principal Investments group covering buyout and growth equity deals across the Americas. He began his career in investment banking advising insurance companies.

Carl G. Bauer-Schlichtegroll works at Eos Venture Partners, having spent over 25 years in the financial services sector at major investment banks. He previously served as Managing Director and Co-Head of the financial institutions investment banking group at JP Morgan, Managing Director in the Financial Institutions Group at Goldman Sachs, Vice Chairman and Co-Head of the Financial Institutions Group at Credit Suisse Group, and Partner and Managing Director at Greenhill & Co. His career spanned London and New York, serving clients in Europe, North America, and Asia.

James Tootell joined Eos in January 2017, where he works on sourcing, evaluating, and executing investments. He previously served as an Associate Director in KPMG's Insurance Deal Advisory team and qualified as a Chartered Accountant, with transaction experience across the general, life, Lloyd's, and distribution segments of the insurance sector.

Jonathan Kalman is a Managing Partner at Jaguar Capital Partners and serves as a board member. With more than 25 years of experience, he focuses on early-stage investment opportunities in the insurance sector.

Brian Coburn is a Principal at Eos Venture Partners with roughly a decade of experience investing in and advising companies, concentrating on FinTech and InsurTech. Before Eos, he was a principal investor on the Aquiline Technology Growth team working on Series A and B deals, and earlier was an investment banker at Financial Technology Partners covering growth-stage companies. He began his career at General Electric and completed GE's financial management program.

Before joining Eos, Galen Shaffer spent five years in McKinsey's Insurance Practice, working out of the Boston and Los Angeles offices. There she led teams on digital transformation and new business innovation for Life & Annuities, Property & Casualty, and Commercial Broking clients. She earned a BA from Wellesley and an MBA from MIT Sloan.

Bill Keogh joined Eos Venture Partners in 2020 as an Operating Partner, where he focuses on due diligence and business building with portfolio companies. He previously held leadership roles in the insurance and insurtech sectors, most recently as Chairman and CEO of Advisen, and earlier served as Global Group Executive at RMS and President of EQECAT, working on adoption of catastrophe risk models. Over his career he has worked in New York, London, and Vienna.

Before joining Eos, Giao Phan worked as an investment banker at Financial Technology Partners focusing on insurance technology, and started his career as an M&A consultant at West Monroe within the insurance sector. He holds a B.S. from NYU Stern School of Business.

Megan Montague is a Financial Operations Manager at Eos Venture Partners with experience developing and implementing accounting systems for startups. She has worked on management reporting, financial analysis, and data preparation to support business decision-making.

Michael Nekus is CFO of Eos Venture Partners, bringing nearly 20 years of experience across hedge funds, family offices, and asset management, focused on building finance and operational infrastructure. He previously held senior roles at Ancient LP and AlTi Global.

Stephen McGovern is a Principal at Crystal Venture Partners focused on early-stage investments in insurance and technology. Previously, he was part of the founding team at Eos Venture Partners, where he managed deal sourcing and execution across North American and European investments and served on the boards of Players Health and Elpha Secure. His experience includes advising founders and management teams on capital markets, operational scaling, and growth strategy.
