Eric B. Lev is a General Partner at Ampersand, which he joined in 2013, with more than 22 years of experience in middle-market healthcare investing. He was previously a founding member of the investment team at Water Street Healthcare Partners for seven years, and earlier worked at Beckman Coulter and One Equity Partners. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Northwestern University and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.

Rick Charpie has over 35 years of private equity experience and founded Ampersand in 1988 through a spinoff from PaineWebber. He has served as a director of more than 35 companies and chaired more than ten. He holds an M.S. in Physics and a Ph.D. in Economics and Finance, both from MIT.

Marina Pellón-Consunji joined Ampersand in 2013. She previously worked as an Associate Director in Healthcare Investment Banking at UBS, handling leveraged buyouts, M&A, and debt and equity financings for middle-market healthcare companies. She holds a B.A. with Honors in Biological Chemistry and International Relations from Wellesley College and worked in biochemistry laboratories at Harvard Medical School after graduating.

Melanie M. Fan is a Partner at Ampersand, which she joined in 2018. She previously worked at Frazier Healthcare, a middle-market private equity firm, and earlier at UBS Investment Bank, where she focused on leveraged buyouts, M&A, and debt and equity financings for middle-market healthcare companies. She holds a B.S. in Economics and Statistics from Duke and an M.B.A. in Health Care Management from Wharton.

Hidde Van Kerckhoven is a Principal at Ampersand Capital Partners, which he joined in 2022. He previously worked on the healthcare investment team at Gimv, where he was involved in platform acquisitions and add-ons across healthcare services and life sciences, and earlier was an associate at The Riverside Company in Brussels. He holds an MSc in Finance from the Antwerp Management School.

Aditya (Adi) Goel joined Ampersand in 2025 as an Associate. He previously worked as an Investment Analyst at Bracebridge Capital, investing across the capital structure in life sciences companies, and before that as a Senior Analyst at ClearView Healthcare Partners advising on biopharma strategy. He holds a B.A. in Molecular and Cell Biology from UC Berkeley and an M.B.A. in Healthcare Management and Finance from Wharton.

Benoit P. Bouche joined Ampersand as an Operating Partner in 2022 and chairs the board of P95. His career spans nearly 40 years in healthcare businesses as an entrepreneur, investor, advisor, and board member, with a focus on the pharmaceutical outsourcing industry. He was previously President and CEO of Nexelis, an immunology-focused lab and former Ampersand portfolio company acquired by IQVIA, and holds a PharmD (1984) and a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences/Biotechnology (1986), along with completion of Harvard Business School's Advanced Management Program (2002).

Cole S. Aldrich joined Ampersand in 2024. He previously worked as an Associate at Nautic Partners, a middle market private equity firm, and earlier as an Analyst in the Healthcare Services group at Guggenheim Partners. He earned a B.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia.

Elias J. Laimboeck joined Ampersand in 2026. He was previously a Senior Associate at Trilantic Europe, a pan-European middle-market private equity firm, where he focused on healthcare and industrials investments, and earlier an Associate in J.P. Morgan's Consumer & Retail investment banking group in London. He holds an M.Sc. in International Finance from HEC Paris and an M.A. (Hons) in Economics and Chinese from the University of Edinburgh.

Emanuele M. Delfino joined Ampersand in 2025. He previously worked as an Investment Banking Analyst in the Healthcare Group at Houlihan Lokey, focusing on leveraged buyouts and M&A for middle-market healthcare companies. He earned an MSc in Finance and a BSc in International Economics and Finance from Bocconi University.

Henry Dubina joined Ampersand as an Executive Advisor in 2021 and serves as a consultant and board member for technology and software companies in the biopharmaceutical industry. He previously was President of Mettler-Toledo AutoChem from 1999, and earlier founded and grew Applied Systems Inc. (ASI), a provider of in-situ FTIR systems (ReactIR), which Mettler-Toledo International acquired in 1999. He also served as President of Leica USA Inc. and began his career at IBM in sales and marketing management roles. He holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Illinois.

Isabel S. Brooks joined Ampersand in 2026. She was previously an Associate at the middle-market private equity firm Astorg MidCap, where she spent two years working on healthcare buyouts across the UK and Europe in pharma services, medtech, and life sciences tools, and earlier worked as a Consultant at Candesic, a healthcare and life sciences commercial due diligence firm. She holds a B.Sc. in Biomedical Sciences from Durham University and an M.Sc. in Integrated Immunology from the University of Oxford.

Jonathan Hunt joined Ampersand as an Executive Advisor in 2026. He was previously CEO and Managing Director of Syngene International, a global contract research, development and manufacturing organization, from 2016 to 2025, and earlier spent 17 years at AstraZeneca and Astra in senior leadership roles including President of AstraZeneca Austria, President of AstraZeneca India, and Head of Investor Relations. He holds an MBA from Durham University and a B.A. (Hons) in Business and Economics from the University of Sheffield, with executive education from MIT Sloan.

Julie F. Giles joined Ampersand's accounting and finance team in 2003. She previously held accounting positions at PHT Corporation and Enermetrix. She earned a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Lasell University and an M.B.A. from Bentley University.

Justin K. Choi joined Ampersand as an Associate in 2025. He previously worked as an Associate in the Healthcare Services group at Jefferies in New York and, before that, as an Analyst at Leerink Partners. He earned a B.S. in Finance with highest honors from Lehigh University.

Kristine C. Austin has been with Ampersand since 1998, serving as an Executive Assistant. Before joining the firm, she held Office Manager and Executive Administrative Assistant roles at Magellan Public Solutions and Integrated Health Strategies. She is a Commonwealth of Massachusetts Notary.

Madeline Brown-Scherer works in business development at Ampersand, having first joined in 2022 and returned in 2026. From 2025 to 2026 she was a Business Development Manager on the Healthcare team at THL, and she previously interned at the Pennsylvania Department of Health. She holds a B.A. in Biology from Johns Hopkins University.

Mark R. Bamforth joined Ampersand as an Operating Partner in 2018 and became an Executive Advisor in 2023. He founded several contract development and manufacturing organizations, including Brammer Bio (cell and gene therapy, sold to Thermo Fisher Scientific in 2019), Arranta Bio (mRNA, sold to Recipharm), and Gallus BioPharmaceuticals (sold to DPx Holdings/Patheon in 2014), and earlier spent 22 years at Genzyme Corp. running global operations and its pharmaceutical CMO business. He holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Strathclyde University and an M.B.A. from Henley Management College.

Maxwell R. Keeley joined Ampersand in 2020. He previously worked as an Analyst at TM Capital, a middle-market investment bank, where he concentrated on healthcare M&A transactions. He earned a B.A. in Economics from Amherst College.

Natalia C. Anderson joined Ampersand in 2020, working in compliance. She previously spent five years in compliance roles at Summit Partners. She earned a B.S. in Business Administration and Political Science from Northeastern University and holds the Investment Adviser Certified Compliance Professional (IACCP) designation from the Investment Advisor Association.

Nic Gianelli joined Ampersand in 2022. He previously worked as a Senior Analyst at Crosstree Capital, a middle-market investment bank, where he concentrated on healthcare M&A, and before that held a Corporate Strategy and M&A role at Philips Healthcare. He earned a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Connecticut.

Olivia M. Ciano joined Ampersand in 2025 as a Fund Accountant. She previously worked as a Senior Associate in the Assurance practice at PwC. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and Finance from the University of Pittsburgh and is a CPA.

Dr. Peter Li joined Nexcelom Biosciences as CEO in 2006. Alongside founder Dr. Jean Qiu, he led the company's growth over more than a decade, building it into a maker of cell analysis instruments and reagents. In 2017, the company partnered with Ampersand Capital Partners to support its expansion.

Stefan Beyer joined Ampersand as an Executive Advisor in 2024, drawing on more than 20 years in leadership and business development across the life sciences sector. He previously served as CEO and later President of Vibalogics, a CDMO focused on oncolytic viral vectors and viral vector vaccines that was acquired by Recipharm in 2022, and has experience converting family-owned businesses into investor-backed growth companies. He holds a Ph.D. in biology and biotechnology with a focus on the molecular biology of natural product-producing microorganisms.

Steve Favaloro is a biotech executive, board member, and investor who serves as an executive advisor at Ampersand Capital Partners. He is Chairman and CEO of Genezen, a gene and cell therapy CDMO, and previously held CFO roles at Arbor Biotechnologies, Arranta Bio (acquired by Recipharm in 2022), and Brammer Bio (sold to Thermo Fisher Scientific in 2019), along with earlier finance roles at MilliporeSigma, Merck KGaA, and Bruker Corporation. He holds an MBA and MS from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College and a BA in Economics from Boston College.

Steven J. Chang joined Ampersand in 2025 as Finance Manager. He previously spent five years in corporate financial planning and analysis at publicly held biopharmaceutical companies, and earlier oversaw SEC financial reporting at TESARO, an oncology biopharmaceutical company, until its acquisition by GlaxoSmithKline; he began his career at Deloitte in Audit & Assurance. He holds a B.S. from Case Western Reserve University and an M.S. from Northeastern University, both in Accounting, and is a CPA in Massachusetts.

Steven M. Dale joined Ampersand in 2018. He previously worked as an Audit Supervisor in the Financial Services practice at RSM. He holds a B.S. and an M.S. in Accounting from Penn State University and is a C.P.A.

Stuart A. Auerbach joined Ampersand in 1991 and served as a General Partner for over 15 years, working with an investor team that developed more than a dozen industrial and healthcare businesses. Earlier in his career, he spent three years consulting at Bain and Company and five years in manufacturing and engineering at Lever Brothers. He holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Columbia and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Thomas de Jager first worked at Ampersand as an Associate from 2005 to 2008, evaluating investment opportunities and supporting the firm's DOR sourcing efforts. Between 2008 and 2010 he founded Savannah Acquisitions, an M&A advisory firm focused on buy-side transactions, before rejoining Ampersand in 2011 to coordinate the DOR program. He holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Pretoria and an M.B.A. from Pace University.
