About

Brad Porter spent thirteen years at Amazon rising to VP of Robotics, where he led an organisation of roughly 10,000 people and deployed more than 250,000 robots across the fulfilment network — then left to build the robot that works beside people rather than behind a fence. He founded Collaborative Robotics in 2022 with Steph Tryphonas and Jane Mooney, raised more than $140 million including a $100 million Series B led by General Catalyst, and shipped Proxie, now working in hospitals, factories and ports for customers including Mayo Clinic, Maersk and Moderna. An MIT computer scientist who was CTO of Scale AI in between, he traces the whole thing to a Radio Shack robot arm his parents gave him as a child.
