Jane Mooney came into robotics from accounting, which is exactly why Collaborative Robotics can prove its robots pay for themselves. She was part of the founding team in 2022 with Brad Porter and Steph Tryphonas and runs strategy and finance; the company has raised more than $140 million, including a $100 million Series B led by General Catalyst, and put its Proxie robot into production with paying customers rather than pilots. Those robots have logged more than 12,600 operating hours, moved over 40 million pounds of material and saved some 17 million steps of human walking across hospitals, factories and warehouses, including at the Mayo Clinic and Tampa General Hospital. She spent the decade before Cobot at Amazon, from 2011 to 2021 and latterly as director of robotics strategy and risk management, setting the roadmap for the largest robot fleet on earth and leading the fulfilment supply-chain team through the company's pandemic build-out; before that she ran enterprise compliance at Boeing. She holds a business administration degree from the University of Washington.
