Investment thesis

WEL exists to activate women's capital in the innovation economy by turning interested women into active angel investors. Through its Learning On Investment (LOI) model, it lowers the barrier to entry for angel investing and enables women to collaborate on sourcing deals, conducting due diligence and making investment decisions. Rather than only funding companies, WEL focuses on building a new generation of women angel investors across Canada, aiming to unlock dormant women's capital and move toward equal representation in investing. Members participate through investment groups located nationwide.
