FACIT focuses on funding and growing Ontario oncology and health innovation ventures to benefit patients and the provincial economy. Established by the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research (OICR), it supports commercialization, technology transfer and development of cancer research, aiming to attract more R&D investment to Ontario and bring the best oncology innovations to market. Its investments have generated partnerships, clinical trials, job creation and leveraged financing across the province. FACIT also runs a pitch competition (Falcons' Fortunes) and awards, and works alongside OICR to advance cancer solutions that help patients live longer, healthier lives.
