Investment thesis
WIP is an angel investment network based in Madison, Wisconsin, whose accredited-investor members evaluate and back early-stage companies. Members individually decide whether and how much to invest, with individual investments per round ranging from $5,000 to over $100,000, made via LLCs specific to each portfolio company. The group holds regular screening and general meetings where startups present, and members benefit from shared due diligence and co-investment. WIP also runs an associate program (WIPAP) to develop early-career professionals interested in startups and investing. It is a member of the Angel Capital Association and is affiliated with the Wisconsin Angel Network.
