Chris Adams is a CPA/CA with more than thirty years of experience who has provided bookkeeping, accounting, financial reporting, SR&ED, and corporate tax compliance services to early-stage technology companies and nonprofits since 2006. As part-time CFO at TIAP, he oversees accounting functions and both internal and external financial reporting. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto and earned his accounting designation while training at KPMG.

Diana Resetca joined TIAP in 2020 as an Analyst, Technology and Venture Development, supporting technology commercialization efforts and the LAB150 program. Working with the Life Sciences team and researchers at member institutions, she conducts scientific due diligence, market research, and competitive analysis to assess venture projects. She previously worked with local AI and biotechnology startups and nonprofits as an analyst and scientific consultant, holds an MSc in Chemistry from York University and a BSc in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Toronto, and has published research in journals including Nature Structural and Molecular Biology and Molecular Cell.

Angela Zhou joined TIAP after working on two University of Toronto strategic initiatives, Medicine by Design and the Precision Medicine Initiative (PRiME), where she developed and managed funding and training programs connecting scientists, engineers, and clinicians in regenerative and precision medicine. She previously consulted for Turnstone Biologics on technical and regulatory writing and pre-clinical research support, and has served as Managing Editor of RCIScience and co-chaired the Canadian Science Policy Centre's Program Committee. She holds a PhD in Immunology and a BSc in Physiology and Immunology, both from the University of Toronto.

Phil Goldbach manages intellectual property across TIAP's (formerly MaRS Innovation) portfolio, advising on IP protection, patentability, and patent application filings, and he also manages projects in the Life Sciences portfolio while conducting technical and market due diligence on new technologies. Before TIAP, he trained at an intellectual property boutique law firm in Toronto within its life sciences patent practice and served as director of intellectual property for a Mississauga biotechnology startup focused on antibody-based products for animal health and food safety. He holds a PhD in Molecular Genetics from the University of Toronto and a JD from Osgoode Hall Law School.

Sohaib Siddiqui provides medical, scientific, and business support to early-stage startups at TIAP, working with academic and institutional partners to identify medical technologies in digital health and medical devices. Before TIAP, he managed healthcare strategy at Kettlebeck Ventures, a family-office backed healthcare fund, and trained as a medical doctor and pediatric clinical researcher. He also holds an Innovation Fellow appointment at Women's College Hospital and earned degrees from Queen's University, the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, and a digital health certificate from Harvard Medical School.

Ido Kaminsky was previously Director of Business Analysis at FutuRx, a biotech incubator backed by JJDC (J&J), Takeda Ventures, and Orbimed Israel, where he handled scouting, deal flow, scientific and business analysis, IP licensing, and venture formation, contributing to the launch of more than 10 biotechnology startups. He earlier worked at RM Global Partners, a boutique investment bank in the pharma, biotech, and medical-device sectors, and as an analyst at the Frankel Group, a life-science strategic consulting firm. He holds an M.Sc. in biochemistry from the Weizmann Institute of Science.

Michelle Kirkwood is an HR leader with experience in the financial and health care sectors, focused on organizational design and large-scale change management initiatives. She joined UHN in November 2020 and serves as the People & Culture partner for the Corporate Portfolio, UHN Retention Strategy, and UHN partner organizations, including acting as HR strategic partner to TIAP's CEO and team. She is a change management practitioner and participates on a burnout committee supporting interventions at Princess Margaret Hospital and the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre.

Mobeen Lalani manages technology and venture development at TIAP and co-directs the University of Toronto Early-Stage Technology (UTEST) program, where he works on identifying and commercializing health technologies, leading due diligence, market analysis, and technology development planning. He previously held sales and business development leadership roles at a telehealth startup and worked on healthcare innovation and strategy for a large Canadian pharmacy retailer, as well as health data transformation in primary care. He holds a Master of Health Informatics and a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Population Health from the University of Toronto and a certificate in Health Law and AI in Healthcare from the University of Ottawa.

Prakash Gowd joined TIAP in January 2024 as Vice President and became Interim President & CEO in April 2026. He has over 25 years of experience across biopharma, capital markets, and entrepreneurship, previously serving as COO and Head of Corporate Development at a mental health and psychedelic medicine company and as co-founder of a health technology company, both of which he helped take through public listing or acquisition. Earlier in his career he held biotech equity research and investment banking roles at CIBC World Markets, National Bank Financial, and Canaccord Capital, and he holds an MBA from McGill University plus Pharmacy and Zoology degrees from the University of British Columbia.

Susanne Staer is the Corporate Secretary at Toronto Innovation Acceleration Partners (TIAP), responsible for the organization's governance framework, board administration, annual general meetings, and record keeping. She also handles executive office administration and oversees marketing, external communications, social media, and website development. Before TIAP, she supported senior partners at a national law firm in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and securities, and previously worked in the Danish diplomatic corps with postings at Royal Danish Embassies in Russia and Ghana.
