Kazuhiko has more than 20 years of experience in drug discovery, licensing, and search and evaluation, having worked as a biochemist on oncology and cardiovascular projects at four companies. Before joining the firm he was at Nippon Boehringer Ingelheim in Japan, evaluating innovative assets from Japanese academia and startups in areas of high unmet medical need such as rare diseases, regenerative medicine, and gene therapy. He holds an MSc from Kyoto University and a PhD from Nagoya City University.

Taka Koda has over 20 years of business development and venture investment experience. Before Remiges Ventures he ran TK Venture Partners advising biotech and business groups on finance and investments, served on the board and as Interim President of Digestome Therapeutics, and previously spent 12 years in Mitsui's Private Equity group. He holds a BS in Engineering from the University of Tokyo.

Known as Aki, he brings over 20 years of experience in search and evaluation, business development, and venture investing. Before Remiges he was VP of Corporate Development at Ora and spent more than 13 years at Daiichi-Sankyo, where he helped establish and manage the company's corporate venture capital funds. He holds a BSc in Material Sciences, an MSc from San Diego State University, and an MBA from UC San Diego.

Walter Olesiak brings over 28 years in business development, healthcare consulting and venture investing, including 12 years at Mitsui Ventures where he served as board member or observer at 10 portfolio companies, plus prior roles at Cambridge Pharma Consultancy (IMS Health), Genzyme Japan and SRL, Inc. He holds an AB in Biochemical Sciences from Harvard and an MBA from Cornell.

Linda is a Venture Partner who sits on the board of a portfolio company, with a background in biotech collaborations, clinical development, and managing a healthcare investment fund. She co-founded a startup applying AI to clinical trial management and holds a BA in Economics from Princeton University.

Stuart Hwang, Ph.D., is a venture partner and serial entrepreneur with over 25 years in corporate development spanning licensing, M&A, strategic alliances and fundraising, with scientific experience across small molecules, biologics and ADCs in oncology, neurology and inflammation. He cofounded and served as Chief Business Officer of Vincerx (NASDAQ, 2020), was President of Digestome Therapeutics, and previously led business development at Supergen.

Atsushi Uno spent 16 years at a bio-venture company developing DDS technology for nucleic acid drugs, working across basic R&D through clinical trials. He focused on pharmacodynamics in non-clinical studies and managed PD marker measurement in clinical trials.

Dr. Hans Keirstead is a stem cell scientist and serial entrepreneur who has developed therapies for conditions including spinal cord injury, cancer, immune disorders, and COVID-19. He founded four biotech companies, previously served as a professor at UC Irvine where he co-founded the Sue and Bill Gross Stem Cell Research Center, and holds a Ph.D. from the University of British Columbia.

Chief Medical Officer at RDiscovery with over 30 years of clinical practice and medical research experience across academia and the pharmaceutical industry in Japan, Asia Pacific, and the US. Previously spent 18 years at Pfizer, Merck, and Bristol Myers Squibb, and led clinical development at Luzsana Biotechnology; holds an MD/PhD, MBA, and MPH.

Hiroyuki Nagasawa is a Procurement Manager at Daiho Pharmaceutical with 18 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry across oncology. His background spans commercial roles in sales and marketing, medical affairs including new product launches, and product portfolio management with business feasibility assessment responsibilities.

Biotech researcher with around 10 years of applied research experience at a major electronics manufacturer, followed by over 8 years in basic research at drug discovery venture companies. She led new compound development at NapaJen Pharma and joined RDiscovery in 2021. Holds a PhD from Ochanomizu University.

Kyoko Matsumoto has over 18 years of experience across pharmaceutical drug discovery, patent practice, and technology transfer. Before Remiges she worked at Tohoku Techno Arch, a Sendai-based technology licensing organization, handling technology evaluation, patent prosecution, and license negotiations in biotech. She holds an MSc in Pharmaceutical Science from Tohoku University and an MBA from GLOBIS University.

Masako has seven years of drug discovery experience at NapaJen Pharma, where she served as a lab manager in the development research department handling in vitro pharmacological studies. Since 2021 she has worked on drug discovery research for R Discovery.

A former Mitsui & Co. executive with extensive experience in overseas investments and divestments, focused for nearly two decades on energy and LNG development, including the North West Shelf Project in Australia. He later worked in financial services managing leasing, venture capital, buyout, and REIT operations, and served as President of Mitsui & Co., USA, Inc.

Naoki Hirayama brings over 20 years of clinical development experience in the pharmaceutical industry, overseeing oncology trials from Phase I to III. Since February 2026 he has been seconded from Taiho Pharmaceutical to Remiges Ventures, and holds a Master's in Life Science and Technology from Tokyo Institute of Technology.

A physician-scientist who studied transplantation immunology at Harvard and pioneered heart regeneration via bone marrow cell transplantation. A professor at Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine, he developed mitochondrial genome replacement technology and co-founded IMEL Biotherapeutics.

Shinobu Suzuki earned a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Osaka University and conducted basic research in molecular biology and immunology at UCLA, University of Toronto, and RIKEN Yokohama Institute. She led open innovation and drug discovery activities at global pharmaceutical companies including Bayer, AbbVie, and Boehringer Ingelheim, and since 2019 has worked at Kyoto University fostering academia-industry partnerships.

A New York-licensed CPA with over 35 years of experience in banking, real estate, and venture capital. He previously served as General Manager of Administration at Mitsui Global Investments for 12 years and as CFO of several Soros Fund Management investment funds, and has taught accounting at the City University of New York.
