Kazuhiko has more than 20 years of experience in drug discovery, licensing, and search and evaluation, having worked as a biochemist on oncology and cardiovascular projects at four companies. Before joining the firm he was at Nippon Boehringer Ingelheim in Japan, evaluating innovative assets from Japanese academia and startups in areas of high unmet medical need such as rare diseases, regenerative medicine, and gene therapy. He holds an MSc from Kyoto University and a PhD from Nagoya City University.

Taka Koda has over 20 years of business development and venture investment experience. Before Remiges Ventures he ran TK Venture Partners advising biotech and business groups on finance and investments, served on the board and as Interim President of Digestome Therapeutics, and previously spent 12 years in Mitsui's Private Equity group. He holds a BS in Engineering from the University of Tokyo.

Known as Aki, he brings over 20 years of experience in search and evaluation, business development, and venture investing. Before Remiges he was VP of Corporate Development at Ora and spent more than 13 years at Daiichi-Sankyo, where he helped establish and manage the company's corporate venture capital funds. He holds a BSc in Material Sciences, an MSc from San Diego State University, and an MBA from UC San Diego.

Stuart Hwang, Ph.D., is a venture partner and serial entrepreneur with over 25 years in corporate development spanning licensing, M&A, strategic alliances and fundraising, with scientific experience across small molecules, biologics and ADCs in oncology, neurology and inflammation. He cofounded and served as Chief Business Officer of Vincerx (NASDAQ, 2020), was President of Digestome Therapeutics, and previously led business development at Supergen.

Has 16 years of experience in DDS technology for nucleic acid drugs at a bio-venture, spanning basic research through clinical trials with a focus on pharmacodynamics.

An internationally known stem cell expert and serial entrepreneur who has founded five biotechnology companies and led numerous clinical trials; previously professor at UC Irvine and co-founder of the Sue and Bill Gross Stem Cell Research Center.

Chief Medical Officer at RDiscovery with over 30 years of clinical, research, and pharmaceutical industry experience, including 18 years at Pfizer, Merck, and Bristol Myers Squibb. Holds an MD and PhD from Jichi Medical University, an MBA, and an MPH from Johns Hopkins.

Has about 10 years of applied biotech research at a major electronics manufacturer and over 8 years at drug discovery ventures; joined RDiscovery in 2021. Holds a PhD from Ochanomizu University.

Kyoko Matsumoto has over 18 years of experience across pharmaceutical drug discovery, patent practice, and technology transfer. Before Remiges she worked at Tohoku Techno Arch, a Sendai-based technology licensing organization, handling technology evaluation, patent prosecution, and license negotiations in biotech. She holds an MSc in Pharmaceutical Science from Tohoku University and an MBA from GLOBIS University.

Has 7 years of experience in drug discovery at NapaJen Pharma as a lab manager focusing on in vitro pharmacological studies; engaged in drug discovery research for RDiscovery since 2021.

A physician-scientist specializing in transplantation immunology and regenerative medicine, professor at Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine, and founder of IMEL Biotherapeutics; became Scientific Advisor to RDiscovery in 2023.

A pharmaceutical scientist with a PhD from Osaka University and research experience in molecular biology and immunology at UCLA, University of Toronto, and RIKEN; has worked on open innovation at Bayer, AbbVie, and Boehringer Ingelheim and moved to Kyoto University in 2019.

Walter Olesiak brings over 28 years in business development, healthcare consulting and venture investing, including 12 years at Mitsui Ventures where he served as board member or observer at 10 portfolio companies, plus prior roles at Cambridge Pharma Consultancy (IMS Health), Genzyme Japan and SRL, Inc. He holds an AB in Biochemical Sciences from Harvard and an MBA from Cornell.
