Pirkka Palomäki has an extensive background in technology as both an investor and operator, having held several C-level roles at F-Secure and Enevo, along with advisory positions at multiple startups. He was among the earliest investors in Wolt and now works with a range of Maki's portfolio companies. His focus spans areas from fintech to quantum computing.

Jaakko Lehtinen is an Associate Professor at Aalto University specializing in computer graphics, vision, and machine learning. His career includes work at Remedy Entertainment (1996-2006) on graphics technology for games including Max Payne and Alan Wake, a postdoctoral position at MIT working with Frédo Durand on rendering and modeling, and a research role at NVIDIA Research in Helsinki. He holds a PhD from Helsinki University of Technology and serves on the editorial boards of ACM Transactions on Graphics and the Journal for Computer Graphics Techniques.

Paavo Räisänen is a General Partner at Maki.vc with more than twenty years of experience across technology and business, including work as an entrepreneur and startup executive before becoming an investor. He works with Maki's portfolio companies from early stage through commercial scaling. His investment areas include B2B SaaS, fintech, and a range of deep tech, from industrial climate tech to alternative proteins and nanotechnology.

Pauliina Martikainen-Rahnu is a Managing Partner at Maki.vc, with investments spanning deep tech, enterprise software, and consumer applications, and a current focus on AI and how it shapes human experience at home and work. She previously co-founded Wave Ventures, a student-run VC firm operating in the Nordics. She holds an M.Sc. and CEMS MIM from Aalto University and HEC Paris, and a B.Soc.Sc. from the University of Helsinki.

Wilson Tukiainen joined Maki through its internship program in early 2025 and moved into a full-time investment role later that year. He holds a Master's degree in Finance from Aalto University and previously worked as an intern at Inderes and as an analyst at the private market intelligence platform Gain.pro. At Maki he supports sourcing and analysis across sectors, focuses on companies advancing sustainability, and leads the team's ESG efforts.

Anette Kinnunen oversees daily operations at the Maki.vc office as Office Manager and Executive Assistant. Before joining the startup world, she spent over a decade in the health tech industry and also worked at the Singaporean Consulate in Helsinki and in the tourism sector. She has international experience in India and France, and teaches yoga part-time.

Irina Miettinen is Head of Finance at Maki.vc, responsible for the fund's finance management and reporting. Before Maki, she worked at Deloitte and at the construction company YIT. She holds a Master's degree from Aalto University.
