SHS Capital

A lifelong entrepreneur from a family of small-business owners, Uwe founded his first company at 18 and sold his third before turning 26. After training in finance and management, he became a growth investor in innovative German Mittelstand companies and now serves on several medtech and life science boards.

Tobias Fuchs holds a dual degree in Business Administration and Law from the University of Innsbruck. He began his career at Roland Berger in Performance Improvement and Corporate Finance, later working in leveraged finance at IKB Bank in Frankfurt and on the private equity investment team at BlackRock in Zurich. Most recently he was with DI Capital Solutions, a small-cap PE investor, where he served on the boards of several portfolio companies.

André Zimmermann is a Partner at SHS Capital focused on life science companies. He holds a PhD in molecular biology and has training in finance and banking, and previously co-founded a biomedical startup before selling his shares and joining SHS. At the firm he manages relationships with strategic partners, supports portfolio companies through business development, and oversees ESG activities.

David Wehner has a molecular biotechnology background combined with a business degree, and co-founded a medtech company that raised a seven-figure Euro amount across several financing rounds. He later built a new life science business unit at a large corporate before returning to entrepreneurial work supporting medtech and life science companies.

Hubertus Leonhardt is a Senior Partner at SHS Capital, having moved to the supervisory board after 27 years in management, where he was responsible for finance and helped build the firm's position as a healthcare-focused investor. A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) who also passed the German tax advisor exam, he previously worked as a Corporate Finance Manager at Arthur Andersen before joining SHS in 1997. He has extensive experience as an advisory board member of medtech companies and has structured numerous growth-stage transactions where SHS acted as lead investor.

Lukas Maucher joined SHS in April 2022 as CFO after working as a manager and authorised signatory at Ernst & Young in Southern Germany. He holds a Bachelor's in Business Administration from LMU Munich and a Master's in Accounting & Taxation from the University of Mannheim, and at SHS focuses on controlling, regulatory matters, investor relations, HR and finance.

Manfred joined SHS in 2010 as an intern after developing an interest in innovative healthcare companies during his studies in Tübingen. He represents SHS on several MedTech and life science portfolio companies.

Marie Mendler joined SHS Capital in 2023 as an Investment Manager. She holds a bachelor's degree in European Economic Studies from Bamberg (with a year abroad in La Rochelle, France) and a master's degree in Banking & International Finance from Toulouse. She began her career in M&A at one of the Big Four in Toulouse before moving into investment banking, which included a secondment in Paris.

Sevda Sarikaya joined SHS Capital in 2025, having previously interned with the firm in 2021. Before returning, she spent over three years in M&A Deal Advisory at a Big Four firm in Frankfurt. She holds a bachelor's degree in International Business from Reutlingen (including a semester at Western Sydney University) and a master's degree in International Finance from Nürtingen.

Guillaume joined SHS in January 2023, holding a master's in finance and strategic management. He previously worked at a strategy consulting firm in Copenhagen advising healthcare companies on marketing, sales, pricing, and go-to-market strategy, with expertise in MedTech and pharmaceuticals.

Cornelia Gänsicke has been with SHS Capital since 2007, where she leads controlling for the firm's portfolio companies and handles reporting to investors in SHS's funds. She also manages the funds' financial and regulatory matters. Before joining SHS, she held similar roles at large global companies.

Elisaveta Slobodyanik joined SHS in September 2022 as a trainee and stayed with the firm after completing her program, now working in the controlling team. Her responsibilities include payment transactions, processing incoming and outgoing invoices, preparing recharges, and travel expense accounting. She is currently pursuing a qualification as a certified financial accountant.

Heike Grammer has worked at SHS Capital since 2018, where she leads human resources. She handles payroll, leave management, recruiting, and the firm's job postings. Outside of work, she coaches a men's dance group that performs during the carnival season.

Regine Hujer has been with SHS for over 20 years, where she leads office and administrative management and develops internal workflows. She supports the management and team, serves as the internal contact for data protection, and, as a qualified trainer, supervises and prepares new trainees.

Samira Hesselmaier joined SHS in 2023 after completing an apprenticeship. She supports the firm's back office with organisational and administrative tasks, including correspondence, document and presentation preparation, and PR-related support.
