Marco de Jong is Manager Investeren at NOM, where he has worked since 2022 focusing on regional economic development in the northern Netherlands. He previously built his career largely in the digital economy across various roles, and has also worked as an investment manager, project manager at TCNN (on secondment), and programme manager for Ik Ben Drents Ondernemer.

Sjouke Mulder is an investment manager and team lead for investing at NOM, with a background as a former professional military member and financial roles at Leeuwarder Courant, later NDC mediagroep. He founded the "Benefits of Nature" foundation and has worked in the horticulture and water sectors and at a company focused on upgrading biogas. His investment focus centers on sustainable, smart, and healthy businesses.

Annemieke Wouterse is an Investment Manager for Life Sciences & Health at NOM, where she manages a portfolio of over 20 holdings in the Groei- en Overname Fonds and acts as shareholder, supervisory board member, advisor, and coach across companies ranging from startups to mature firms. Before joining NOM, she completed studies in business economics and a controller training program, and worked as a controller at Akzo Nobel and AVEBE and as a senior management consultant at Bakkenist/Deloitte.

Betty Postma joined NOM as an investment manager in November 2024, focusing on watertech and growth & acquisitions. She studied Economics at the University of Groningen and spent over 17 years in the banking sector advising and financing companies. She was born and raised in the Fryske Wâlden region and currently lives there with her family.

Boudewijn Hulst studied high-tech and fintech entrepreneurship during his bachelor's and master's, based in Groningen. After graduating, he spent five years as an investment manager and fund developer for private investment funds, and was for three years a shareholder and director of his own company, from which he exited in late 2023. Since January 2023 he has worked as an investment manager at NOM, focusing on researching, negotiating and structuring new investments and supporting portfolio companies.

Daan Verhorst is an investment manager focused on IT at NV NOM. He studied tax law in Leiden and worked as a tax advisor at KPMG Meijburg and Deloitte, as well as an interim manager on financial and legal restructuring projects, a commercial director, and an entrepreneur. In 2018 he relocated with his family to the north of the Netherlands.

Danielle van Dalfsen has worked at NOM since 2015, holding several roles over the years. She currently serves as an investment manager focused on Agri&Food and water technology, investing with her team in innovative companies in the northern Netherlands.

Emma Schakel has worked at NOM since late 2016, starting as a project employee in the FSN department. As of January 2021 she became Specialist Leningen, managing several small loan portfolios, including the Corona Overbruggingslening (COL) and part of the FOM portfolio.

Joost Biezeno studied Business Administration (Bedrijfskunde) at the University of Groningen (RUG) and joined NOM in September 2022 as an Investment Analyst on the investment team. He currently works as an analyst in the Tech team, contributing to the firm's IT investments.

Klaas Kooistra is an Investment Manager at NOM focused on Agri&Food and water technology, where he has worked since 2014. He previously provided business financing at a bank, worked as a subsidy adviser for innovative projects, and was involved with an innovative startup. Over the past decade he has concentrated on investing in early-stage startups.

Parichita Chakraborty is an Investment Manager at NOM who originally comes from Kolkata, India. She holds a Master's in Life Sciences and pursued a PhD in Molecular Microbiology in Groningen, and moved into venture capital through the Vencapital Fellowship Program before joining NOM in January 2023 via its Investment Management Traineeship. Given her Life Sciences background, she focuses primarily on Life Sciences and Health projects.

Ruud van Dijk is an investment manager at NOM who works on assessing new financings, refinancings, and sale processes. Born in Leeuwarden, he entered the banking sector during his studies in Personnel & Labour and later completed a second degree in business economics before joining NOM.

Stijn Kamminga works as an Investment Analyst at NOM, focused on supporting the development of business in the northern Netherlands (Groningen, Friesland, and Drenthe). He holds a bachelor's in business administration and a master's in finance from Groningen, and previously worked as a junior corporate finance advisor in Friesland.

Sytze Hellinga studied in Leeuwarden and Groningen and worked for about ten years in central and western Netherlands before returning to the north of the country in 2000. He has worked mainly as an investment manager and corporate finance adviser, and since the summer of 2016 has been an investment manager at the GROEIfonds, an investment fund for North Groningen focused on sustainability.

Chantal Leijendekker is Investment Strategist at NOM, where she works on investment strategy and policy, process development, portfolio management, and knowledge sharing within the team. She previously spent over 16 years as an investment manager at NOM and holds a degree in Economics from the University of Groningen (RUG).

Henri Kats studied organic chemistry in Groningen and worked for seven years as a research chemist before moving to a consultancy, where he handled environmental permit applications and EIA procedures for chemical companies. He spent over 11 years at Groningen Seaports connecting government and industry, and was involved in founding Chemport Europe with the NOM. He also studied industrial engineering and earned an MBA, and now works as an investment manager at the NOM with a focus on cleantech.

Melcher Frankema was born in Lemmer and studied in Groningen before moving to Amsterdam, later returning to the north of the Netherlands. He was previously Founder & CEO of Ivy Medical, a company focused on innovation in infusion therapy, which ended in the summer of 2025. He now works as a Venture Developer at NOM, helping entrepreneurs address challenges related to markets, teams, and raising capital, and works on growing startups into scale-ups in the region.

Michael Toxopeus studied Vastgoed & Makelaardij at Hanzehogeschool, then completed master's degrees in International Financial Management at the University of Groningen (RUG) and International Banking & Investment Management at the University of Dundee. He worked at an accountancy firm in Groningen for about two years before joining NOM as an Investment Analist in October 2024, where he supports innovative entrepreneurs in their growth.

Niels Palmers is a Business Developer at NOM who has more than ten years of experience in startup entrepreneurship, having founded several companies and set up projects and initiatives. In the five years before joining NOM, he focused on creating and managing programs for startups and scale-ups. In his role at NOM he supports founders in growing, scaling, and financing their ventures within the innovation ecosystem of Northern Netherlands.

Steven de Groot works as a Business Developer at NOM, where he focuses on helping start-ups grow through the firm's startup programs and supporting the northern Netherlands economy. He holds a master's degree in Strategic Innovation Management, writing his thesis on how entrepreneurs learn from failure. Outside of work he enjoys walking, running, tennis, and weight training.

Yentl Scholtens has worked at NOM since July 2023 as a secretary supporting the Investment Team and Investment Committee, including investment manager Marco de Jong. She previously worked at a non-profit organization and in the finance department of a real estate company after completing a Management Assistant program. She is based in Groningen.
