NOM is the regional development and investment agency for the northern Netherlands (Drenthe, Fryslân, Groningen), working for over fifty years to sustainably strengthen the regional economy. It supports entrepreneurs with financing, knowledge and connections, invests in promising startups and scale-ups, helps companies expand internationally, and attracts innovative businesses to the region. NOM focuses on sectors where the region can make a difference: energy, green chemistry, agrifood, water technology, life sciences & health, high tech and maritime. It aims for a circular, sustainable, healthy and smart region. NOM is one of nine Regional Development Agencies forming ROM-Nederland, collectively the country's largest venture capital investor.
