Investment thesis
Starve Ups positions itself as an 'end-to-end accelerator' or 'scalerator' that supports member companies across the full startup lifecycle, which it frames in three stages: Survive, Strive, and Thrive. Rather than a short training course, it offers always-on, peer-driven mutual support, with founders helping one another through company formation, fundraising, scaling, and ultimately exits and post-exit investing. It accepts a new class of Oregon-based companies each year at zero cost and zero equity, expecting members to pay their mentorship forward. The organization explicitly states it does not invest in particular verticals but instead unites peer founders, and its member companies span roughly 20 industries across its Portland, Eugene, and Bend chapters.
