Adam Caplan is Investment Manager at Halcyon, a role he began in May 2025 within the organization's Programs team, having spent nearly three years developing and running curricula for Halcyon's residential accelerator programs. He began his career at the Aga Khan Foundation, where he helped establish its first impact investment fund, and subsequently led research initiatives at global incubators and accelerators while mentoring founding teams across the US, South Asia, and East Africa. His current work focuses on curriculum, investor networks, and facilitating fundraising for impact-driven founders and alumni.

Christina Davis is an Event Manager at Halcyon. She has more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit management and has focused on event design and management for the past six years, with an emphasis on using systems and technology to organize in-person and virtual events.

David Corson is the host of Acquiring Minds, a podcast focused on entrepreneurs who acquire existing businesses rather than starting them from scratch. Through the show, he interviews people who buy small businesses and also invests in this segment of entrepreneurship.

Emily Owen is a Program Manager at Halcyon, where she leads programming for social enterprises, and also consults on data strategy and visualization for mission-driven organizations. She has more than 15 years of experience across education, program strategy, and startup work, including managing a remote-first company focused on gender equity in transportation and redesigning accelerator curriculum for over 30 technology companies. Owen has led education programs in Egypt, Turkey, and Kenya.

Karina Burger is Vice President of Operations at Halcyon, where she oversees event design and operational infrastructure for philanthropic stakeholders. She has more than a decade of leadership experience managing large-scale, revenue-generating events, co-producing industry programs, and developing educational content. Her work spans financial planning, budgeting, vendor negotiation, sponsorship activations, and cross-functional team leadership.

Mala Henriques is a LAC Program Consultant at Halcyon with over 10 years of experience developing social impact initiatives across Latin America, Europe, and Africa. She has designed and led more than 15 entrepreneur support programs with budgets up to USD $250,000, and has worked on impact measurement processes for international programs including Accelerate2030. Her work includes authoring Impact Hub Global's Building Issue-based Ecosystem Playbook, serving as Regional Host for the Impact Hub Network in Latin America, and building partnerships with organizations such as UNDP, BCG, the Vitol Foundation, and the International Trade Center.

Marcelo Homrich is Vice President of Programs at Halcyon, an organization that supports social impact innovators through incubation, education, and connection. In this role, he oversees the program lifecycle, including stakeholder relationships, alumni networks, and program methodologies, with programming spanning business modeling, fundraising, leadership, and social impact. He holds a Ph.D. from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, where his research addressed customer evaluation and marketing intelligence.

Maya Carpenter is a Partner at Lorensen Automotive Group with more than two decades of experience in leadership roles. She has previously served as President of J.D. Power APAC and CEO of Superior Integrated Solutions, with a background spanning team building, business planning, and negotiation.

Mercy Erhiawarien is an Event Manager at Halcyon. She has more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit management and has specialized in event design and management for the past six years, working on both in-person and virtual events.

Scarlett Ojeda is a Finance Manager at Halcyon. She moved to the United States from Chile in 2013 to study English and holds a degree in Business Finance.

David is recognized as a technology innovation leader in Taiwan and Asia with experience building international e-commerce and mobile businesses across global IT firms, sports teams, and Web3 companies. He holds an MS from Carnegie Mellon University.

Douglas Romanoff is Managing Partner at Parameter Ventures, a venture capital firm. He focuses on early-stage investments in enterprise (B2B) technology.
