Ron Hunt is a Managing Director at New Leaf Venture Partners and one of the firm's founders, which he helped start in 2005. He focuses on early to late stage biopharmaceutical investments and has more than 25 years of experience investing in companies developing novel medicines. Before entering venture capital in 1998, he worked as a strategy and operations consultant to pharmaceutical and medical device clients, and held sales and marketing roles at Johnson & Johnson and SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals. He holds an M.B.A. from The Wharton School and a B.S. from Cornell University.
