Hussam co-founded Maktoob.com in 2000 and Souq.com in 2005, serving in leadership roles at both companies through their respective acquisitions by Yahoo (2009) and Amazon (2017). Prior to Maktoob, he worked in technology consulting and systems development at Andersen Consulting in Canada. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and a Master's degree from Stanford University, and is an active mentor and advisor to regional entrepreneurs.
