Samih founded Maktoob.com in 2000, which became the world's first Arabic email service and largest Arab online community before Yahoo's acquisition in 2009. He co-founded Souq.com in 2005, building it into the Arab world's largest e-commerce platform before its acquisition by Amazon in 2017. He holds degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of London and in Management and International Business from HEC University in France, and has received multiple regional awards for his contributions to technology and entrepreneurship.
