Chris Sacca is a venture investor who chairs Lowercase Capital, through which he and his wife Crystal English Sacca made early-stage bets on companies including Twitter, Uber, Instagram, Twilio, Stripe, Kickstarter, and Blue Bottle. Before investing, he was Head of Special Initiatives at Google, where he founded and led the Access division and worked on business development and M&A. In early 2017 he stepped back from making new startup investments to launch Lowercarbon Capital, a multi-billion-dollar fund backing startups that cut CO2 emissions and remove carbon from the atmosphere. His investing record put him near the top of the Forbes Midas List, reaching #2 in 2017, and he appeared as an investor on two Emmy-winning seasons of Shark Tank.
