Investment thesis
Vanagon invests in DeepTech and AI-native founders at the pre-seed and seed stage, pursuing what it calls 'The European Advantage' - sectors where Europe holds a structural edge and can extend it globally. Its key verticals include advanced/autonomous manufacturing, industrial AI, robotics, future materials, geospatial intelligence, quantum, next-gen computing and deep software. The firm positions itself against legacy VCs, arguing that AI has shifted value creation to the earliest stages where SaaS playbooks no longer apply. It acts as lead investor with first checks of up to EUR 500k, unlocking additional capital from its network, and supports founders on fundraising, round structuring and cap-table design from pre-seed to Series A.
