Investment thesis
henQ describes itself as funding for the 'odd ones out' — early-stage B2B businesses that are a little different, whether the market seems too boring, the business model atypical, or the founder unusually obsessive. The firm invests in founders rather than markets and never backs a company competing with an existing portfolio company. It offers a fast, low-friction process (days between first meeting and term sheet), working with founders' own documents rather than investor decks. Aiming for a 100% hit rate, henQ commits deeply to roughly two new companies each year, supporting hiring, fundraising and goal setting while leaving founders to run their business.
