Investment thesis
Helsana HealthInvest backs start-ups that improve patients' access to healthcare, seeking companies with demonstrated traction and scalable business models that are active in or aiming to enter the Swiss market. Portfolio companies gain insights, ecosystem access and opportunities to collaborate with Helsana and its partners. Given its insurance parentage, the firm may also invest in fintech, insurtech and cybersecurity companies. It focuses on Series A to B rounds across Europe, with emphasis on DACH, Benelux and the Nordics, from an evergreen CHF 100 million fund. It explicitly excludes deals that are too early, too late, too small or too big, and does not invest in biotechnology, life sciences or pharma.
