A computer scientist by training, he spent two decades on the Cornell University faculty, joining as an assistant professor in 2001 and serving as an associate professor from 2007 to 2021. Before starting Ava Labs in 2019, he founded bloXroute Labs, where he worked from 2017 to 2019.
