David Marcus is the co-founder and CEO of Lightspark, a company focused on building on Bitcoin's capabilities. He previously led Facebook's financial unit (F2), which included Facebook Pay, Novi, and Payments, and earlier ran Messenger; he joined Facebook in 2014 from PayPal, where he served as President and VP of Mobile. He founded the mobile payments company Zong (acquired by PayPal in 2011) and launched his first two companies in Europe after attending the University of Geneva.
