Investment thesis
Renew Capital invests in tech and tech-enabled early-stage startups across Africa, believing the continent is entering a period of significant growth driven by a young population, rising entrepreneurship and expanding mobile access. Beyond capital, the firm supports companies with management development and market access to help them capture market share, modernize industries and create jobs, aiming for returns via acquisitions or public offerings. It connects a network of individual investors, family offices and institutional investors to these opportunities through an innovative investment model, and also works on ecosystem development to strengthen Africa's startup landscape, including a blended finance model supported by Global Affairs Canada.
