James C. Polan is Vice-President and Global Head of Health and Agribusiness at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), where he manages financing programs in the health and agribusiness sectors across more than 100 emerging markets. He previously served as Vice-President of the Office of Development Credit and, earlier, as Vice-President of the SME Finance Department at the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), which he joined in 1995.
