Actor and investor Ashton Kutcher made an angel investment in 2019 through Oktogon Ventures. The company opened offices in San Francisco, Boston, and Tokyo following Y Combinator, adding to a London office established in 2015, and moved to a remote-first model in 2020. A $60M Series C led by Insight Partners closed in November 2021, taking total funding to roughly $100M, and in October 2022 Bitrise acquired Flare.Build, which provided backend services and distributed build caching for the Bazel build system.
