Investment thesis
Forepont Capital Partners invests in early-stage companies before their inflection point, targeting ventures with the potential to improve the lives of millions. Its focus centers on 'Brain AI' — artificial intelligence that advances neuroscience — and applications of that technology across healthcare, safety, education, defense, and device control. The firm also backs biological frameworks that improve AI performance and efficiency and unlock new capabilities. Forepont typically retains a board seat in most portfolio companies, sizing its positions to maintain influence, and supports its companies scientifically, technologically, and strategically through its expertise and network.

Eric M. Attias founded Forepont in 2017 and serves as managing partner of its Bio&Med Fund and co-managing partner of its Brain AI Fund. He has an investment and company-building background that includes early investments in Synchron and Precision Neuroscience, as well as building, acquiring, and selling companies such as Nexar (sold to UBP) and stakes tied to Allianz's AAAM and Ermitage. He previously managed a large alternative investment company and holds degrees in computer science (neural networks), engineering, and business administration.

Bruce Greenberg has served as Chief Financial Officer at Forepont since June 2017. Earlier, in 2002, he co-founded a Commodity Trading Advisor focused on commodities and currencies. He holds a BS in Accounting from Brooklyn College, CUNY, and earned his CPA certificate in 1991; he is a member of the AICPA and NYSSCPA.
Frederic Batoua joined Forepont in 2020 and leads the firm's Investment Research. He has over 20 years of experience analyzing European and U.S. companies, having worked as a portfolio manager and analyst on both the buy and sell side at hedge funds and investment banks. He holds a Master's degree in Financial Analysis & Investment Management from Audencia Business School.
Guillaume Bouyoux is a Vice President at Forepont, which he joined in 2023 following his MBA. He previously worked as a financial analyst at Neoxam. He holds an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business, an MS in Finance from Washington University in St. Louis, and a BS in Applied Mathematics from Université Paris Dauphine-PSL.
Dr. Ismail Kola joined Forepont in April 2019 as a senior advisor, following a career in senior executive roles across the pharmaceutical industry. He previously served as CSO of UCB, held senior research leadership positions at Schering-Plough, Merck, and Pharmacia, and was a Professor of Human Molecular Genetics at Monash University Medical School. He holds academic appointments at Oxford, Washington University, Monash, the Karolinska Institute, and Cambridge, and earned a Ph.D. in Medicine from the University of Cape Town.
Louis Moulin is a Vice President at Forepont, having joined in 2020 as an analyst after completing an internship with the firm. He holds a Master in Management and a BBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship, both from EMLYON Business School.
Philippe Louisadat joined Forepont in 2021, where he oversees business development. He previously served as Head of Distribution at Rothschild & Co and Head of Distribution at Oddo Asset Management. He studied at the Institut Supérieur de Gestion and holds an AMF Certification.
