Investment thesis
Fondaction channels shareholders' retirement savings into development capital that advances sustainable finance in Quebec. It backs innovative companies and funds addressing the energy transition and climate change, promotes social equity by improving access to entrepreneurship for women and cultural communities, and supports the social economy and participatory worker management. It excludes holdings in companies with fossil energy reserves, supports sustainable agri-food and circular-economy businesses, and invests in ecological urban development and natural-capital preservation, including international climate funds. The fund combines financial returns with measurable environmental and social impact objectives.
