About
Sean O’Sullivan founded SOSV in 1995 as an angel investor and later built it into an organization backing deep-tech startups through programs such as IndieBio and HAX. Before investing, he co-founded MapInfo in 1985, developing street-mapping technology for personal computers, and later founded NetCentric, where he is credited with co-coining the term "cloud computing." He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MFA in Film Production from the University of Southern California.
