Lee Fixel is an American venture capitalist who built his reputation making growth and late-stage technology investments. He began his career as a chartered financial analyst at Alkeon Capital Management before joining Tiger Global Management in 2006. At Tiger Global he became a partner and head of the firm's private equity business, backing companies such as Flipkart, Peloton, Stripe, Freshworks, Spotify, and Facebook, and appeared on the Forbes Midas List twelve times over his career. He resigned from Tiger Global in March 2019, with his last day in June 2019, and stated he planned to continue investing independently. In 2020 he launched his own venture capital firm, Addition, raising $1.3 billion to invest in early- and growth-stage startups. With his wife Lauren, he co-founded the Lauren and Lee Fixel Family Foundation, which has funded neurological disease research including a $20 million gift to the University of Florida.
