Andrew "Andy" Paul is the founder of Sopris Capital, a Colorado-based direct investment and incubation platform. Before founding Sopris, he spent 16 years at Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe, where he was a senior executive, sat on the Management Committee, and co-led the firm's healthcare investing, serving as lead partner on 38 healthcare investments. Earlier in his career he worked in venture capital at Hambrecht & Quist, founded Enhanced Capital Partners, and co-founded Enhanced Healthcare Partners. He holds a B.A. from Cornell University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
