A Y Combinator (S11) founder, he was a founding engineer at hCaptcha, where he developed the first generation of its bot-detection software, and previously built a PDP-11/70 hardware emulator used to control Ontario Power Generation nuclear reactors. He studied Mathematics and EECS at MIT, where his graduate research focused on compiler design for FPGAs and multicore processors.
