Shanda Group

Tianqiao Chen founded Shanda Group in 1999, which has had three subsidiaries listed on NASDAQ and one on KOSDAQ, and is known for early work in China's online gaming and online literature industries. In 2012, he and his family took Shanda's parent company private, turning Shanda Group into a family-owned global investment company. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Fudan University and, with his wife Chrissy Luo, founded the Tianqiao & Chrissy Chen Institute in 2016 to fund brain science research.

Cathy Ge manages Shanda's public market investments and serves as a Partner at Shanda Grab Ventures. Before joining Shanda in 2009, she worked in the Asia Special Situations Group at Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong. She holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Tsinghua University, a Master of Engineering from Stanford University, and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

David Tan is a Managing Director and Partner in Private Equity & Venture Capital at Shanda Group, where he works on private market investments in healthcare and deep tech and oversees the firm's frontier science strategy. He is also Managing Director at the Tianqiao and Chrissy Chen Institute, a foundation focused on brain and mind research, where he handles global operations and research partnerships. Before this, he spent over a decade in investment banking at Lazard and Merrill Lynch in New York, and he holds a Ph.D. in Chemical and Biological Engineering and an M.Eng. from Princeton, plus a B.Eng. from Cornell.

Justin Mak is a partner within Shanda Grab Ventures, where he sources and leads early-stage investments and oversees legal aspects of the firm's private market transactions and other investment activities. Before joining Shanda, he was an associate at law firm Shearman & Sterling LLP, and earlier worked as an analyst at Goldman Sachs and Credit Suisse. He holds a B.A. in History and a JD from Columbia University.

DongXu Wang serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Shanda China, where she is responsible for finance, tax, investments, and financing. She has worked with the company since 2000 and holds a degree from East China University of Science and Technology.

Feilang Wang (also known as Frank Wang) has worked at Shanda Group for over 20 years, where his work has spanned wireless SP business, group IT services, industrial park development, and the founding of several AI companies. His areas of responsibility include information technology, business innovation, human resources, and group strategy. He holds a degree from Zhejiang University and an EMBA from China Europe International Business School.

HuelLing Su serves as Office Manager responsible for Shanda's U.S. offices in California, Oregon, and New York. She previously held roles at Greenliant Systems, Inc. as Senior Manager of Global Facilities, Administration and Human Resources, and at ImmenStar, Inc. as Global Manager of Accounting, Human Resources and Administration. She holds an MBA from Eastern College in Pennsylvania.

Jimmy Ho joined Shanda in 2003, holding various finance and internal audit roles. He served as Chief Financial Officer of Actoz Soft (Kosdaq: 052790), a Shanda company, from 2007 to 2015, became an Executive Director at Shanda in 2015, and was promoted to Managing Director of Compliance and Finance in 2016. He is a CPA in California and a certified internal auditor, and holds a Bachelor of Economics from Central University of Finance and Economics in China.

Jinyong Yang leads the legal department of Shanda China, where he has worked for more than nine years. Prior to joining Shanda, he practiced law as a licensed lawyer. He holds an LL.M. from East China University of Political Science and Law.

John Lee joined Shanda in 2010 as Chief Tax Officer, having previously been a Partner at KPMG heading the People's Republic of China tax department. He started at KPMG's Toronto office in 1975 and later served as a partner in the firm's Vancouver, Hong Kong, and Shanghai offices. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) in Accounting from the University of Manitoba, is a Canadian Chartered Accountant and a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and lectured on international tax planning at Fudan University from 1997 to 2010.

Judy Lau is an Accounting Manager at Shanda Group. Before joining the firm, she managed an accounting team at JSI Logistics, served as a Senior Account at Mode Media, spent about ten years as Accounting Manager at Hotel Vitale, and began her accounting career at United Health Group. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from San Francisco State University.

Kim Yeo serves as Shanda's Senior Manager of HR & Admin. She previously worked as an Executive Assistant to the CEO of Elite International Logistics (Asia Pacific), where she oversaw the HR and administration department. She holds a degree from the University of South Australia and is an accredited HR Practitioner recognized by the Singapore Human Resources Institute.

Lidong Bing is Chief AI Scientist of the Shanda AI Research Institute (SARI), which he is establishing and leading, with work centered on large model usability and the connection between brain science and AI. He holds a Ph.D. from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and completed postdoctoral research at Carnegie Mellon University, with a research record spanning language models and multilingual NLP, over 150 papers, and 90 patents. He previously led the Language Technology Lab at Alibaba Group's DAMO Academy, where he worked on projects including SeaLLMs and the video language model VideoLLaMA.

Lucia Ko serves as Corporate Secretary at Shanda, having joined the company in 2012 as an accountant. Before Shanda, she worked at the Hong Kong audit firm Edmund Lau & Co. in an accounts and corporate secretary role. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Curtin University of Technology.

Nick Kuo is Lead Visual Designer at Shanda Group. Before joining, he spent over eight years as a multimedia designer across the compliance, design, and consumer industries, working on UI/UX design, graphic design, web development, and motion graphics. He holds a Bachelor of Management Information Systems earned in Taiwan and a Bachelor of Multimedia Design from California State University – East Bay.

Stephen Fu oversees the management and operations of Shanda in China. Before joining Shanda in 2008, he served as deputy general manager of Tianchen Co. Ltd., where he handled real estate development, logistics, investments, and marketing. He holds a Bachelor's degree from the Management Science Department of Fudan University and an MBA jointly awarded by Fudan University and Norway Management Science College.
