Investment thesis
Horizon provides growth-oriented, structured venture debt to technology, life science, healthcare information and services, and sustainability companies. Its loans serve as a less dilutive complement to equity funding, offering capital that can be used like equity but at lower cost and dilution. Financing is tailored to each company's funding needs, with transaction sizes up to $50 million, term/bridge/special purpose loans over 3-5 years including meaningful interest-only periods, plus warrants or success fees. Horizon applies selective origination and rigorous underwriting, evaluating management, investors, equity history, technology value, and intellectual property to deliver successful financing solutions rather than simply closing deals.
