Anthony Mahira is an investment professional at DOB Equity based in Nairobi, where he sources and structures investments and works with portfolio companies on their strategic, operational, and impact goals. Before joining DOB, he served private and public sector clients across East and West Africa, including as a Senior Project Leader at Open Capital and in a role with the Africa Foresight Group. He started his career in consumer goods and holds an MBA from the University of Oxford's Saïd Business School and a Bachelor of Commerce from Strathmore University.

Bas Jongtien is the senior legal counsel at DOB Equity, which he joined in 2017, supporting the team on the legal aspects of investments and divestments, due diligence, and corporate matters. He holds an LLM from Utrecht University and has over 15 years of legal experience, previously working as a corporate lawyer at Bosselaar & Strengers Advocaten and as legal counsel at adidas.

Cikü Mugambi is an Investment Director at DOB Equity with 15 years of investment and operational experience across Africa. She began her career at KPMG in Audit and Deal Advisory, later joined the International Finance Corporation's Disruptive Technologies and Funds team leading equity investments in technology startups and VC funds across Sub-Saharan Africa, and most recently served as CEO of digital logistics platform Kobo360. She holds an MBA from Strathmore Business School and IESE Business School, a BSc in Actuarial Science from the University of Nairobi, and is a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya.

Coen Boevé holds a university degree in Business Administration and has served as CFO at various large and small companies across multiple sectors and countries. He joined DOB in 2022 as CFO.

Francis Quint has 25 years of experience across venture capital, private equity, business development, mergers and acquisitions, and governance. She oversees Rabobank's global equity investments through Rabo Investments, which invests across the life cycle from venture capital and private equity to fund investments, with a focus on Food & Agri. She holds a graduate degree in Business Economics from VU Amsterdam and a bachelor's degree in Art History from the University of Amsterdam.

Frank Tobé is an investor and board member working on sustainability, technology, and innovation in Africa. He sits on the boards of Utopia Capital Management, Mr. Green Trading Africa Kenya Ltd., Founders Factory Africa, and DOB Equity, and holds advisory roles with Climate Fund Managers, Rothschild & Co, and The Global Steering Group for Impact Investment. He co-founded Horizons, a community of millennial investors, DOB Ecology, a conservation fund, and Supernova, a sustainability reporting platform for venture capital investors.

Jonathan Mukoro joined DOB Equity as an Investment Associate in May 2025. He has over seven years of experience in private equity and private lending focused on inclusive growth and sustainable development in emerging markets, previously working at AgDevCo supporting agribusinesses in East Africa, as well as SIMA Funds and Centum Investment Company. His work spans agriculture, renewable energy, financial services, and consumer goods, and at DOB he focuses on deal execution, portfolio support, and sourcing new investments.

Karen Serem Waithaka is CEO at DOB Equity, based in the Nairobi office since September 2024, with a focus on impact investing in Africa. She previously served as Chief Investment Officer at Catalyst Fund, an early-stage VC fund and accelerator backing climate-tech startups, and as Investment Director at Global Partnerships Social Venture Fund, and held investment roles at Safaricom Spark Venture Fund and TBL Mirror Fund. She holds a BSc in Actuarial Science from Curtin University of Technology and a Master of Finance from the University of New South Wales.

Nathan Cheruiyot is a Senior Investment Associate at DOB Equity based in Nairobi, with over five years of experience in strategic advisory and impact investing focused on small and growing businesses in Africa. He previously worked at Goodwell Investments, where he structured and executed venture debt transactions in East Africa across sectors including sustainable agriculture, waste management, renewable energy, and clean mobility, and before that at Open Capital Advisors supporting SGBs in agriculture, renewable energy, and fintech. He holds a Bachelor of Economics and Statistics from the University of Nairobi.

Theo van Stuijvenberg is an investor and board member with a financial and technical background who holds a master's degree in business administration and spent over 20 years working in mergers, acquisitions, investments and business recovery. He is a founding partner at Anders Invest, a private equity firm focused on industry, food & agri and real estate. He sits on the board of the environmental organization Milieudefensie, chairs a board responsible for historic churches in central Utrecht, and writes on social issues with an interest in entrepreneurship in Africa.

Victoria Musembi is the Marketing and Office Manager at DOB Equity, based in Nairobi, Kenya, with over six years of experience in corporate communication, office administration, and customer service. Before joining DOB, she worked as a Personal & Administrative Assistant in the Deal Advisory team at KPMG, and earlier held administrative and customer service roles at Nation Media Group. She holds a B.Com in Communication from Daystar University.
