His areas of focus include distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, reliability engineering, and organizational design.

Directs Relae's work in power and electricity, data center infrastructure, grid reliability, and space technologies. An optical physicist and data scientist, he previously served as Senior Advisor for R&D at the US DOE and is an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University.

She previously worked at Amazon and Walmart on clean firm power investment and corporate decarbonization, and teaches renewable energy finance at Boston College.

He has spent 20 years scaling climate solutions through capital allocation, data, and technology, previously building the Capital Markets function at Pachama and structuring technology company loans at Silicon Valley Bank.

Hannah Brigham coordinates diligence of carbon dioxide removal projects on Carbon Direct's Science Team, with a background in carbon accounting, climate-smart agriculture, and project management. She previously worked as a sustainability consultant at ClimatePartner and served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Madagascar.

A leading US authority on carbon removal, CO2 conversion and use, hydrogen, industrial decarbonization, and carbon capture and sequestration. He served as Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Office of Fossil Energy at the US DOE, was a Senior Research Scholar at Columbia's Center on Global Energy Policy, and held roles at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory including Chief Energy Technologist.

Marie Sobieski is Associate General Counsel at Carbon Direct, where she serves on the senior leadership team and advises on commercial transactions, internal governance, employment matters, and areas including AI use and information security. Her responsibilities include structuring and negotiating commercial agreements, developing internal policies, advising on hiring and contractor engagements, and supporting risk management and product and brand decisions such as naming, positioning, and licensing. Her prior experience covers litigation and advisory work across industries including technology, biotech, and other regulated sectors.

A climate technology researcher and strategic advisor since 2009. She was lead author of a report on bioresources in a net-zero economy for the Energy Transitions Commission, worked at SYSTEMIQ, and was previously a management consultant at McKinsey & Company. She advises Carbon Gap and has served on the SBTi Technical Advisory Group.

Advises clients on high-quality carbon reduction and removal strategies. She has worked in environmental science advisory since 2014, was Carbon Dioxide Removal Lead at the Energy Transitions Commission, and previously worked at SYSTEMIQ. She is a Fulbright Scholar.

Brings cross-sector expertise in analytics, forest conservation, working lands policy, and landscape resilience science. She contributed to R&D roadmaps for the USDA Office of the Chief Scientist and has deep expertise in tropical forest ecology, with fieldwork in Peru, Madagascar, and Trinidad and Tobago.

Tristan Goodbody earned his PhD in remote sensing of forests and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of British Columbia, where his research integrated 3D forest structure data from digital aerial photogrammetry and lidar to improve forest inventories and sampling methods. He holds a BSc in Natural Resources Conservation, also from UBC. At Carbon Direct he conducts due diligence on nature-based forest carbon projects across North and South America and builds geospatial pipelines to standardize remote sensing analysis.
